Repurposed a painting I felt didn’t really work into three mixed media smaller pictures . Really enjoyed the creative process and think they will look great if I pop them into some nice little frames. Now need to go frame shopping.
Oriental inspired abstract flowers and mountains in oils.
Flowers in a jar painted with oils and cold wax.
Painting in oils with cold wax of flowers in a glass. Love the way with cold wax you can build the layers and apply the paint really thickly using a pallet knife. This painting was completed alla prima and now just have to wait for it to dry.
Just a quick reminder that this is the last weekend of my art display at The Strand Stores at Culmstock. Have had lots of positive feedback which has been amazing. Pictures are up until late afternoon on Tuesday so there is still time to visit and grab a delicious coffee and cake.
Another Jurassic Cliffs painting in oils. Love this part of the coast and the sweeping views you get fading into the distance. Just got to wait for it to dry enough to go to the framers.
Expressive flower paintings in oils. All 4 completed at once two on oil paper and two on canvas. It’s amazing the difference the surface makes to the way the paint flows. Which one do you like the best?
Have some of my paintings exhibited in The Strand Cafe at Culmstock until the end of April. Beautiful venue that serves delicious cakes and lunches well worth a visit.
I am thrilled to be the artist for April and be able to display some of my work at the Strand stores at Culmstock. Bonus they serve delicious coffee and cakes plus they have a great breakfast and lunch menu.

Playing around with acrylic inks and gouache inspired a riot of colourful flowers. Definitely will be making more art with these mediums.
We love pink 🌺. Created this design for my friend Cathy to use as a collar on celebration cakes. Can’t wait to see her yummy creations. cake
Been thinking about the arrival of spring so painted this little scene in oils.
Love painting the sea so have begun a series of these little paintings to remind me of those bright summer days.
A small seascape in oils. My fav subject. ❤️
Selecting my top 9 pictures of this year made me realise how many different subjects I tackled. Still lots of my favourites the sea and flowers. I have already picked up my brush and started some new work for 2024 so here’s to another year of happy painting.
Some Seasonal themed art works. I seem to have a lot of Robins.
Different type of art last night at The Apple Farm in Woodbury. The wreath base was constructed from willow and straw then covered with foliage foraged from their land. My front door will be looking very festive this year.🎄
These 3 original oil paintings have been delivered to French Hen and are now for sale.
Very textured work in progress.
An autumn walk inspired this oil painting. Love the colours at this time of year they are just so vibrant.
Miss Moo peeking over the hedge. Original oil inspired by my country walks and the curious cows.
Cows are very curious and I love walking so often see a face peeking at me over the hedge. Have always wanted to paint this image and today was the day. Now have to wait for the oils to dry before Miss Moo can go to the framers.
I have reached 100 followers! Thank you for your continued support. I could not have done it without each of you. 🙏🤗🎉

Linda Cleaves : Secret Cove | British Art Club Inspired by the North coasts of Devon and Cornwall. Love the steep cliffs and inaccessible coves you find in this part of the world.
Couple paintings I have been working on lately. Love the summer hedgerows as they provide endless inspiration. Both pictures are painted in oils on board and are nearly dry so will be going to the framers shortly. They will then be for sale so if they take your fancy let me know.
