The full Harvest Moon of 2024 🌕 This shot was taken not long before the lunar eclipse, which was pretty fantastic to see 😁 I quite like how this image turned out, especially since it's just two handheld images blended into one HDR image 🤠

The first full Moon of 2024 known as the "Wolf Moon" 😁 It was nice to see this last night so I decided to snap a shot! There were some pretty high clouds that enhanced the glow from the Moon too 🙂 It is thought to be called a Wolf Moon as wolves can be heared howling more often at this time of the year due to a lessened food supply 🤠🌕

So I decided to make use of the clear skies we had recently to try something new. I've photographed these objects before but this time I wanted to try everything in one shot, and I think it came out gorgeous 🙂 The red and pale nebulae in the top left is the Horsehead and Flame nebulae, and the bottom right is the Great Orion Nebula and Running Man Nebula. 🤠 Much of what you see here is Hydrogen Alpha emission gas combined with cosmic dust that is reflecting light from bright nearby stars ✨ Really pleased with how this shot turned out and very happy with the colours 😁

Another shot from the wet day at Low Barns, a lovely little Long Tailed Tit posing for the camera 😁 Could say it's a shame that the long tail isn't visible as that's the shining characteristic of these birds, however I still think it made for a great photo in itself 🤠

Always lovely to see a Nuthatch, and funny to see the way they cling to trees 😁 They can be quite difficult to photograph sometimes as they rarely sit still (or at least in my experience 🥴)!

Haven't been down to Low Barns nature reserve in quite a while so I decided to have a wander down 🙂 Pretty wet with some showers which made for this nice picture of this Blue Tit perched on a branch 🤠 It's alright when you've got a hide to sit in!
