Having scoring & conceding late on in the second half of extra time.
We were beaten 5-4 on penalties by a resilient Neptune Rams who were the deserved winners of the Bob Ellerington Memorial Trophy 👏

Another season which we’ve underachieved but we look to go again next year. One trophy was enough for us…

After 8 weeks of no game due to the weather we came back with a bang.

- Jack Smedley gets a second goal of the season in as many games on his return from long term injury.
- Aaron Coyle bags hat-trick in only his second appearance.

Sunday league soccer is back on Sunday for our first league fixture of the 23/24 campaign.

Our penultimate pre-season game on Sunday is the annual (A) fixture 🆚 long Eaton prem side Athletica.

Tomorrow we take on AFC Darley in our second pre-season fixture after our cup game has been postponed due to the opposition forfeiting.

We are after a friendly this Sunday after our cup game has been cancelled from the opposition pulling out.

We are unable to host, it would need to be away or at a neutral venue.

Derby Taverners Sunday Football League

We’re back this Sunday in our first pre-season outing against a fellow youthful side who gave us a competitive game last season.

We fall short at the last hurdle.

We again say our well done & give our credit to for doing the impressive double this season & coming from behind to win the game yesterday & becoming winners & taking the trophy from us 🤝

A great final in the 90 minutes yesterday between both sets of players putting everything they’ve got into the game.

Our lads have gave everything they can all season. So many different line ups, young side, injuries and everything else Sunday league brings.

A treble of runners up for us, we wanted more but we will back again next season.

Well done to all teams we’ve faced this year after some tough games win, lose or draw.
