⚽️🧡🖤Fundraising for Springwood United Tornadoes U14s: Honouring Alan Smith⚽️🧡🖤

We are raising money to fund new kits for the Springwood United Tornadoes under-14s team, in memory of Alan Smith from Autoroofs UK Ltd. Alan was not only a devoted supporter of our team but in his younger days a former member of Leicester City FC and an avid footballer himself.

To celebrate Alan's dedication and support for Springwood, we want to have his name proudly displayed on our kits for the upcoming season. Any remaining funds from this campaign will be given to Alan's family, allowing them to create a lasting tribute in his memory.

⚽️Join Us for a Charity Football Match:⚽️
To honour Alan's life and contributions, we are hosting a charity football match on Friday, 6th September, at Borrowash Vic's ground. The match will kick off at 7pm and will last 90 minutes. Springwood United, featuring a mix of coaches and parents, will play against Pentagon Vauxhall, which was one of Alan's main work contracts.

The bar will be open until midnight, providing plenty of time to share stories and raise a glass in Alan's memory. Alan's family will be attending, making this a special occasion to celebrate his life.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are having to cancel our training tonight at 6pm.

To help mark Mental health awareness week we have coaches tonight attending a Positive Attitude and Character training course hosted by ex Chelsea Football Club Academy coach Jeff Bookman and Derbyshire FA.

Unfortunately today wasn’t our day loosing on penalties. I must admit out of the 3 finals the boys have been in this is defo the hardest one to take!

Leading with 3 mins to go to concede then eventually come away runners up is heartbreaking for our boys!

BUT we lick our wounds and go again! Immensely proud of the bolts we’ve had 3 fantastic years and defo more to come!!

Last night saw our U9 Lightnings end of season team bonding night at Oxygen Derby! 💥

We lit up the night with glow sticks, and bounced the night away with our amazing teammates, DJ, and Disco vibes.

It was the perfect way to celebrate our season's achievements and the incredible journey we've had together.

Here's to many more memorable moments on and off the field! ⚽️🌟

Springwood United Cyclones U7s final league game is this weekend coming. Today the kids were awarded medals for their endeavours in their first season, they have loved every second. Thank you DJFL, top class. We look forward to the Shield final.

A massive Well Done to Max who was Lightnings Player of the Match on Sunday. He was calm on the ball creating numerous attacking opportunities but was also solid in defence making it very difficult for the opposition to get close to the goal! Well Done Max 🟠⚫️⚡️

Well Done Yesterday to Madeleine who was our Lightnings Player of the Match. She was rock solid in defence with some great tackling! She showed a lot of composure on the ball and made some great passes to set up a number of attacks throughout the game! Well Done 🟠⚫️⚡️

Well Done to Ava who was our Lightnings Player of the Match! She bossed the midfield and her passing was exceptional setting up a number of attacks with one leading to a goal. She even manage to score a goal straight from a corner! Well Done Ava 🟠⚫️⚡️
