With the Grand National looming this afternoon we created our own horses at Bright Opps to join in the event at our craft session. Lots of cutting and gluing, maybe our entry would be Sticky Hoofs! 🏇🐴

Woollen Lambs for Easter. We got see sticky but they turned out great with great discussions on sheep tails! 😀

Happy Mother's Day to all. Today inspired us at Bright Opps to make a lovely posy for our Mum's, Dad's, Aunts, Uncles, Siblings, for our Hero's! They made such a fantastic array of flowers. 🌼🌹🌷

Brilliant busy session at Bright Opps making their Chinese lanterns, they all turned out amazingly.

Haddon Hall Care Home, Buxton made some fantastic Chinese lanterns!

Chinese New Year was today, the year of the Dragon. I had 2 sessions where fantastic lanterns were made to celebrate.

Miserable day. Don't want to move!

We loved learning for Penguin in our Penguin craft yesterday in honour of Penguin Awareness Days on the 20th January at Bright Opps - Bright Opportunities Great involvement and fantastic cute penguins at the end!

It was a lovely session. They all did so well! Love that photo! Santa sweet holder. Happy Christmas all! X 🎅🎅

Making paper snowflakes for our last session this year with Bright Opps. They looked beautiful along side a 3D bauble aswelll. Happy Christmas!

Some festive fun creations were made with Bright Opps yesterday as we got to cutting, gluing, adding wool and glitter. Then filling his special Santa belly full of sprouts and Christmas puddings! (Well chocolate Sweets!) 🎅

It's beginning to feel a bit like Christmas! Well we did create some beautiful woollen Christmas trees at Haddon Hall Care Home, Buxton today.

Carrying on with our Autumn animals, we created some abstract hedgehogs using forks!

These arty hedgehogs at Bright Opportunities Bright Opps turned out fantastically, an array of colour and 3d faces, they were such fun to make!

Poppies, poppies, poppies galore.
We have been creating some beautiful remembrance pieces with luxurious tissue paper and bright red card over at Bright Opps and Haddon Hall Care Home, Buxton.

From a fantastic session the other week we can now share our wonderful, sparkly firework pictures we created with vibrant paints and glitter galore at Bright Opps to celebrate on the 5th!

Hubble bubble toil and trouble 🧙‍♀️

Just to add cute to spooky we created some gnome witches at Haddon Hall Care Home, Buxton today! The coven of witches were created with bright coloured hair, beaded noses and little brooms, all ready for a Happy Halloween! 👻🎃

BOO! Some Halloween Bunting created by the Bright Opps gang! We used stencils I had created and got messy with the paints but we were all so pleased with the results! Halloween ready!

Everyone worked really hard on our Autumn/Halloween wreath today at Bright Opps, we were so busy I forgot to take pictures during the session! 🤦
Lots of cutting, shiny ghosts, googly eyed bats, 3d pumpkins along with crinkly and beautiful folded leaves later, we created this wonderful wreath 👻🍂🦇🎃

What a fun, vibrant 1st session I had this afternoon at Bright Opportunities. Everyone made me feel very welcome and they all made some fantastic autumn sun catchers! ☀️🍁🍂

Haddon Hall Care Home, Buxton have been busy these last few months joining in my workshops using a variety of mediums and techniques. All of which the residents ended with creations of wonderful pieces.

Recently we have turned paper cups into baskets, wool into dream catchers and made some colourful Mandala inspired art!

And they reached the big 10! Into double digits!
Have you got someone reaching the big 10. But it was only yesterday they were a toddler? Time fly's!

In the making, lots of work behind the scenes
Trial and errors. Before each workshop. I research, make, undo, (get frustrated, hit roadblocks) make changes where applicable. Deconstruct to figure out all the correct measurements of each material to make a craft kit for each participant. Make again and add bits in. The work behind handmade creators is not as simple as we may make it look, keep supporting small businesses!
