I’m trying a more naive style and enjoying painting this imagined still life. Just a large vase of flowers now I think!

Busy setting up my space at ‘Florist of Poundbury’ for the Dorset Arts week and the Art in Poundbury exhibition at Jubilee Hall.
Not long now , it all starts on Saturday!

Fabulous figureheads on display at ‘the box’ Plymouth.
Just love figureheads I have owned ‘Dagger Dan’ for over 40 years , he has moved to every home with us and is always one of the first things we find a place for. My children have grown up with him, he’s a part of the family! 😀

Walking by the sea always makes me feel so at peace

Someone said I need a photo of myself on my Instagram so grabbed this one! Not sure about the socks being featured and being camera shy I do look slightly terrified!

Not long to go now! Plus Art in Poundbury at the Jubilee Hall , Poundbury running until June 5th. Proud to be a part of it with all the other lovely Dorset artists!

Felt like a change so I am blocking in and painting out a new interiors painting. Very early stages and I am still working it out in my head. So I suspect as is usual it will be totally different when finished!

So pleased that I am going to be a part of this!

Well I could keep fiddling but I think I’m happy with this one now

I can’t decide whether to leave this as it is or to add a half a window with a view on top right hand corner. Best to walk away and think about it for a while

Gradually working on parts of this. Think the spring flowers are nearly finished , so I can move onto other parts of it.

Started working on a new one but very early stages at the moment

I just had to go back in with a bit of dry brushing , but I think I really will step back now before I ruin it! Just the edges and its coming off my easel!

Just to finish the edges and this is ready to be framed. It always feels good when I eventually stop tweaking !

Mapping out the first layer for the orchids. Being forced to stay indoors certainly helps with getting things moving!

Just the flowers now, maybe a single orchid…. Will think about it

Third change for this one, colour palette and subject composition! Think I have it in my head now, so hopefully will be settled now and I will not feel that urge….

Finished just in time before rush of half term and no time to paint!

Finished this one before the half term holiday starts in earnest! Next week will be busy doing other things!

A way to go yet but moving along… meanwhile I am completely redoing others!
