🚧 Progress Update 🚧

Our team has been making incredible strides on this site, and we’re thrilled to see the car park taking shape!

Here’s a quick breakdown of the work so far:

• Stripped the turf and topsoil, salvaging some for re-use ♻️
• Formed the attenuation pond with a flow control chamber to regulate water flow 🌊
• Constructed the main drainage run and commenced the cut and fill to the formation levels ↕️
• Installed filter drains in rainwater storage areas beneath the parking bays before filling with Type 3 and Type 1 materials 🚧

With over 1500 tonnes delivered, spread, and compacted, August has been a powerhouse of progress! 💪

This week our team completed the challenging foundations for an extension in Reading, and it was no small feat! 💪 With foundation depths ranging from 1.5m to 2.5m, and the added hurdle of relocating a foundation away from a public sewer (after it had already been dug!), the crew showed incredible determination and skill. 🛠️ We installed sheet piles to ensure everything was done safely, and now, with the toughest part behind the client, this extension is ready to rise out of the ground! 🚧👷‍♂️

When it came to calculating the volume of our soil stockpiles and determining how much additional material we needed to salvage for landscaping, the challenge was clear. Enter Chris Lesser from Geomatic Engineering Surveys (UK) Ltd, who leveraged the power of the Trimble SX10 3D scanning total station. With this cutting-edge technology, Chris was able to swiftly produce a precise 3D model, allowing us to quantify stockpiles without the risks associated with climbing the awkwardly shaped mounds taking traditional spot readings. An innovative, efficient, and safe approach to a complex problem—perfectly executed!

Having recently invested in a tiltrotator and trialing Leica MC1 on our TB2150 we feel ready to tackle any task with maximum efficiency.

On this particular 3.5 acre site we are able to carry out all cut, fill and drainage excavations without:

- spraying a single line
- needing a setting out engineer
- Messing around with off-setting pins
- needing an operative on a laser staff

We are thrilled to announce that we have successfully secured the tender for constructing a new car park at Chessington World of Adventures! 🎢

This new facility will provide 500 much-needed parking spaces, enhancing the overall visitor experience. While it might not be as exhilarating as a rollercoaster, we believe that a well-designed car park is crucial as it forms the first and last impression of the theme park for many guests.

We're excited to embark on this project and contribute to making every visit to Chessington World of Adventures even more enjoyable.

Recently completed Gabion Wall: Teamwork at its best

On our last large project we built a 4-meter high gabion wall to retain the exit queue line for the new attraction. With almost 200 tonnes of stone carefully placed with the face of the baskets needing each stone hand-stacked with precision. This project highlighted our team’s dedication and coordination.

Key Points:
• Preparation: Detailed planning and site analysis. A temporary road was required to access the work area.
• Ex*****on: Assembly of the wire baskets with supports added to stop bulging. Careful stone selection and placement.
• Teamwork: Effective communication and mutual support.

The result is a strong and beautiful wall, a testament to our collective effort and craftsmanship ⚒️

Fantastic work by PressurePro getting some of our plant glistening again 🧼 will definitely use again although hopefully we can keep them clean for a while!

Last week we completed a small job of installing removeable bollards to prevent vehicles encroaching onto pedestrian zones. Neat and tidy work by the team, causing minimal disruption👌🏻

Delighted to have contributed to the transformation of an overgrown area at a local school this week. Thrilled to donate our services to a project that will significantly benefit the children.

Great work by Catalin and Neil removing this wall, making good the surface and installling a hand rail to protect the fall from height 🚧

It’s crazy to think that in May last year this is how things looked at the new minifigure speedway coaster at Legoland!

And they’re off!! Our guys are off to a flying start at our new project at Ascot racecourse 🏇Tasked with upgrading the car park to accommodate new EV charging spaces we have been installing ducting, kerbs and the base for the EV chargers and a new lighting column. Luckily we haven’t fallen at the first hurdle on this project! 🚩

Great to be back at Pulse Structural Monitoring in Wokingham. Having formed several reinforced concrete bases for their cranes and pressure vessel to assist with their relocation from Woking, we returned to form foundations for some storage containers in their car park 🏗️🛢️🚧

This week we have completed some works in this car park. The gravel retention grids were failing in several areas where vehicles were turning so we were tasked to create some edged tarmac junctions at various locations around the car park. The works were completed in time for opening, causing minimal disruption to the client. Well done team!

Big milestone on this site… the last of almost 300 concrete piles were cropped today ready for blinding. Reinforcement cages and concrete to follow next week to complete the last of the pile caps. Massive effort by all of the team ⚒️🚧

Well that’s Webb Groundworks clocking off for Christmas! This year we chose to visit Topgolf to unwind and celebrate another successful year in our 40 year history.

Thanks to our clients who have trusted us to deliver and special thanks to all of our team who have each played a part in making this year a success. We are very fortunate to have such a dedicated, reliable and hardworking team that tackle the hardest of jobs in the harshest of weather.

Time to replace one of our dumpers… out with the old and in with the new!

Looking for an excavator operator to cover 3-4 weeks at our site at Legoland Windsor whilst one of our operators is on holiday from next week.

Must be certified with either CPCS or NPORS and be competent in 9 tonne excavator. Ideally have own vehicle. Potential for longer duration for the right person.

It’s been a busy week and it’s not even over yet! 3 teams have worked evening shifts at 2 different sites to carry out surface repairs while the areas were not in use. Credit to the team for getting stuck in with these projects.
