Here is something cool! A brand new Golf R still with the wrappers on. Marc waited over 600 days on this so was super excited to get his hands on but before he did I had my wicked way with it 😈. Car was that new still had the wrappers on and no plates so I’ve had Gary from Big Recovery’s to transport it up to me so we have put no miles on this new car. It’s had safe wash, chemical decontamination,clay bar, safe washed again, then a 1 stage machine polish to take out the defects (2stage on bonnet) then a 5 year coating farm ceramic coating I’ve even coated the wheels and all the door checks! I warranty all my coatings if I look after the car so that coating will last that the 5 years or I do it all again free of charge! The gloss levels are insane now and nowt will stick to it. I’ve been working for the Dundee transport museum volunteers for 18 months or so but it’s always hard to get pics/videos as it a storage facility and they have some sensitive stuff lying around but todays was out the way and was definitely worth posting. An 89 Volvo 740 very very original car with mostly original paint that was just dull and swirled. I’ve washed, chemically decontaminated, clay barred, 1 stage polish and then a heavy sealant wax applied by machine. Look at this! It’s like a mirror, costs vary but this was £180. A lovely job for a returning client, his beautiful Range Rover Sport got a Gloss Enhancement yesterday! I’ve done this to the car before probably 18months to 2yrs ago and owner was wanting it to look it’s best for better weather coming in. So it had a chemical decontamination, clay bar, a light buff on any highlighted damage or scratches then a sealant/heavy wax applied by machine to protect it for the year. Cost £120 and took 3 hrs! A little restoration project I’m working on, quite a rare car now a corrado G60 supercharged. Was once a “show car” but that was a long time ago but paintwork while 99% while it’s flat with lots of dead paint. So far I’ve done half the car and I’m about 15hrs in still need to touch it up and coat it

I don’t need to tell you guys how amazing I am you sell me out EVER week but sometimes a wee reminder how good I am goes a long way. This is a regular clients family car that’s been used as intended and had various scrapes and a lot of scratches! In fact the couple were quite worried about it going back but look at this!! So it’s had a mini valet and a gloss enhancement ( gloss enhancement is chemical decontamination, clay bar, scratches picked out and buffed and finally a ceramic wax applied by machine for 6 months protection) the cost of all of this £120

Hmm hard post this but you need to show the positives and the negatives and sometimes you do get it wrong . Booked to do 4 cars on Friday at a work place, we got there and there is 6 😬 fully booked on Friday so we are stressed. Apprentice was finishing off cars drying them off (but used wrong cloth plus maybe caught a bit of dirt/mud) so the lads pride and joy is all hazed, dull and looking terrible! The thing was car looked great but was in dark car park in a tight space once the lad had finished and seen car in the sunlight I got the devastating phone call but lad was obviously upset but calm and happy for me to fix it without going through my insurance etc so that’s what I’ve been doing today. All very light marring in the soft mini topcoat and probably would have came out by hand but I’ve went the full hog on it so safe wash, decontamination, safe wash again, stage 1 machined then ceramic coated it as an apology. We all make mistakes but it’s how you fix them that counts

And here is the after video . So we do a mini valet on it then decontaminate the paint, dry off then have a walk round pinpointing any areas that need a quick correction ( door handle areas, petrol flap, boot lock and actually on this the roof ) then do gloss enhancement then seal with a ceramic sealant which should last a year with care . Nothing really sticks to it now and look at water behaviour

Here is the result of the detailing session on Alex’s van . I prefer to show it in a video as you can’t filter the results etc . It’s a 2 stage paint correction I’ve done on this and because I’m maintaining the van I will guarantee the coating will last the full 3 years . I’m fully accredited with coating farm for machine polishing and for application of coatings ( these are the only ceramics I use, they are up there with the best of them )

So here we have a special one ! This is my Very good friend Alex’s van, he’s been saving hard for it for a couple years and asked me to go with him down to Torquay to collect it with him . It’s an incredibly rare van it’s made by Ford then shipped off to M Sport to be transformed into an MSRT van but this one is even more special it’s a Tourneo Valentino Rossi limited edition one of a handful in the uk . The gentleman Alex bought van from told us it was getting “detailed” for us coming down, when he collected us from the airport we were devastated to see how poor condition the paint was for such an expensive, rare, fairly new van . But long story short Alex haggled off a chunk of cash off to get it properly detailed ……. That’s where I come in so last week I spent 16 hours decontaminating,machining and correcting the paint on this amazing van then sealing and protecting it for the next 3 years with Coating Farm Aqua coat pro ( from the professional range ) below is the before video
