‼️Missing Trainers‼️

One of our Dads are missing a pair of black size 7 Nike trainers from our Wednesday classes! If you have went home with them by accident please let me know and drop them back into the Swim Centre. Thank you 😊

**FIFE SWIM CENTRE, PITREAVIE, DUNFERMLINE**

Part-time experienced CONTRACT cleaner required Monday-Fridays, 6:30am-8:30am (can commence earlier to suit).

This is a physically demanding role. The ideal candidate will be confident around water and must be able to provide references and/or a Disclosure Scotland check.

Remuneration on offer is £15 per hour plus a 20% discount on child swim lessons.

⭐️Emma Update⭐️

Emma is having an amazing time over in America and is absolutely loving teaching the kids over there to swim! In between managing her sunburn, she is loving camp life and everything that comes with it! She misses everyone here and can’t wait to get back to her classes soon!

In true Emma style she received counsellor of the session in the first session ⭐️ Well done Emma…we miss you!

A massive well done to Amber from our Wednesday class who joined RNLI Lifeguards Scotland for their Swim Safe Event at Aberdour! They looked at how to stay safe in and around open water and what to do if you, or someone else, gets into difficulty! We are super proud Amber! If anyone else was at the event, we would love to see your pictures 🐙

We are super excited to wish Emma well on her exciting trip this summer! Emma is packing her bags and is off to Camp America to teach swimming lessons over there! The final day of International Learn to Swim Week has arrived!

Today the focus is on Mental Health and Wellbeing with it also being the start of .

Swimming has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety and improve our overall mood while also being a fantastic workout for the body. View our 'Recognising Stress' resources here, which include signs and tips to help manage stress.

Day 6 of International Learn to Swim Week is all about Diversity and Inclusion.

Swimming is for everyone and we love that all our swimmers are different. Everyone learns at their own pace and in their own way and that is absolutely what our lessons are about! Swimming is a life skill and we enjoy making it fun for our swimmers!

We move onto Day 5 of International Learn to Swim Week and it's our most important day - Water Safety!

We love teaching our swimmers about water safety! We make it super fun but also informative (for parents too) Some of our favourite water safety activities are safe entry, rescues and treading water!

Our Thursday beginner class enjoyed joining in with International Learn To Swim Week! Well done everyone

Today we are focusing on Baby Swimming as part of There are many benefits of baby swimming and here a just a few:

🐙 Family activity. Swimming is a great way for families to spend time together having fun!

🐙 Improves co-ordination and balance. Research has shown that babies who swim have better balance and can grasp objects more easily than non-swimmers.

🐙 Helps develop brain function. Only in water can babies move freely and explore actions they otherwise wouldn't be able to. This in turn aid development of crucial high brain functions.

🐙 Helps develop the heart and lungs. Swimming is the only form of cardio-vascular work out that babies can do, making it great for strengthening their heart and lungs, as well as all the other muscles in the body.

🐙 Improves eating and sleeping pattern for babies.

Today is all about open water swimming and with summer just around the corner, many people will be planning a trip to the beach - and whilst it is great to have fun in the sun, it's important to and this includes knowing what the beach flags mean!

We are kicking off by celebrating our wonderful teachers! Our teachers are dedicated, hard working and committed to teaching a key life skill to our swimmers! We are constantly training and working hard to ensure we deliver a high standard of swimming lessons. We also work really hard to ensure each child individually gets what they need from our lessons.

We love our job and we certainly get attached to our swimmers and their families! We love to see them progress in all things swimming but we also love to hear about their day, their school achievements and even what they are having for their dinner that night! ⭐️International Learn To Swim Week⭐️

We are kicking off International Learn To Swim Week this week and we couldn’t be more excited!

One of our parents let me know today that they changed their wee one’s swimsuit last year due to learning about how colours change under the water from one of our lessons! This visibility test is great and you can see some examples of suits you can and cannot see underwater 🐙
