The purple poppies are to remember the many animals who died during the war. Thousands of horses, dogs, birds . Please wear one alongside your red one.

The purple poppy
Is a symbol of remembrance in the U.K. for animals that served during the war.
The symbol was created in 2006 based on the principle of the red poppy for Remembrance Day.
Historically the greatest number of casualties have been horses,dogs and in earlier wars pigeons.
Horses and dogs still serve today,
Be it Armed forces & police and put their lives on the line each and every day to keep us safe
