Shouldโve had something out of the game but short on numbers and the worst possible start with two mistakes straight from kick off gave us an up hill battle to get back into the game.

๐จ๐จ Unfortunately due to the weather over the last couple of weeks the league have called all games on grass pitches off this weekend so our game against Tanfield Club will be rescheduled.

๐จ๐จ Tomorrow (Tuesday 24th October) we pay our respects to a great club friend and supporter Lee โFishโ Miles, in his memory Strac and the family would like everyone attending to be in football tops etc no formal wear. Captain Ben Harvey will wear his Oak Tree jacket as tribute to this great lad ๐ค๐ค
Anyone who knew Fish, his funeral will be at Mountsett Crem at 1.15pm then back to Tanfield Club and it would be great to give him the send off he deserves ๐๐ป

Durham FC Corinthians
This morning seen the lads back in cup action, we faced Consett Turf from Division 2.
As expected we controlled the game from start to finish but fair play to Turf they didnโt stop for the full 90 and managed score a good goal in 2nd half.
We ran out 10-1 winners with goals from Luke Rowe 3, Jack Franklin 3, Iain Curson 2, James Barron 1 and Sam Harvey 1.

Next round we travel to old rivals Burnopfield Sun Inn which is the Quarter Final.

๐จ๐จ since twitter is down for the homeless, the lads were back in action this weekend in the Harkness Cup (League Cup) where we secured our place in the semi final against Steel Club.
Much deserved win for the lads as we controlled the majority of the game limiting them to chances.
Fair play to majority of the East Stanley lads who said we deserved the win, football was the winner today rugby took a back seat ๐

This Sunday sees the return of Consett League action along with East Stanley WMC returning for their annual return. On their last competitive outing they were on their knees at half time as we were winning 6-0 ultimately folding, that said both teams are in very different positions this time around and has the makings of a great game.
