This lecture series is designed to showcase doctoral and post-doctoral research in English Literature at northern universities. Space and Place Everyone is welcome to our Late Summer Lecture Series 2021, as we roam across The Past, Present, and Future in literature and culture.
We are thrilled to announce the lineup for this year's Late Summer Lecture Series! Running from the 18th of August to 6th of October, our theme this year is on The Past, Present, and Future. Critical and contextual history is integral to literature of all periods - from medievalism to utopias and dystopias. Our lecture series will cover literatures throughout history, discussing the inextricable relationship between temporality and literature.
Lectures will be accessible at 5:30 BST during these weeks on Zoom, with an EventBrite link to be available very shortly!
Kicking off the first week of this year's Late Summer Lectures are papers by Amy Ainsworth and Dr Madeline. Focusing on Otherworldly Realms, these papers will be presented on the 18th of August, 5:30 BST. We cannot wait to see you all! More details about the event below!
