Hedgehog Watch : Episode 31 - Spring Affair Episode 31 - Spring Affair. (April 8th 2024)A hectic 15 minutes of courtship from our Hedgehog guests.
Having to have some external maintenance on the house done, so we thought we'd clean the headgehog house out.
Oh the horror!
A bit of garden work and we can now see our little hedgehog and fox visitors. It's a bit rainy tonight, so we've moved the food under a table again.

Two cute little hedgehogs so far this evening.
Really pleased the the quality of the new camera. We got some lovely footage of one of our foxy visitors. Lots of settings to play with still, but I just loved seeing the colour of this beautiful fox.
We are hoping to get some really nice footage tonight. We bought a couple of new cameras last year, but only got around to putting one up today!
This IeGeek camera is supposed to have colour night vision, so hopefully the foxes will show up really well.
With any luck, the rat we saw last night will have gone by the time I put one up by the Hedgehog house ๐
Uh-oh we've got our first rat!
We have just uploaded episode 30 of Hedgehog Watch! The link is below if you'd like to have a look at our newest visitors of the year.

A very cold evening, but Klaus has made it to the garden tonight. Very pleased as we hadn't seen him for a few nights
Very cold and windy night tonight and not had a visit from any of our hedgehogs. But our V***n seems VERY hungry!
Another awesome hedgehog gift from my friends. These biscuits tasted absolutely delicious ๐ Thank you xx
Lovely to see Violet squeeze her way in for Dinner with baby Klaus tonight
We are really pleased that Violet's new winter hoglet is growing well and is now a regular visitor to our garden. We have decided to call him Klaus ๐ฆ๐ค
Another really bad night for me, as you can see by the clock! But this cute little hoglet came in to our garden with its Mum, Violet, just after the foxes had finished off all the food. So I grabbed my shoes and a packet of cat food and ended up with a load of nat bites ๐
Well, we've had both Tomsk and Violet staying several nights in the Hedgehog house this year. But still not been lucky enough to witness hoglets being born.
However, we were so pleased to see Violet turn up last night with her new hoglet and watch it snuffle around ๐ ๐ฆ๐ค
A soggy night to be a hedgehog
The Mrs got me this from the Co-op in Seaford today! ๐ฆ๐งก
