We love birthdays, anniversaries, any excuse really for us to make a fuss of you.

The kitchen has been sending out fabulous food all weekend. We are VERY busy and I strongly recommend booking to be assured of a table.

I get about 10 seconds if I'm lucky to photograph the dishes before they are whisked away by our ever-efficient servers and brought to your table.

Soup of the Day today is Tomato and Fenugreek, made to an authentic Kurdish recipe. It's delicious!

We do great coffee and we have an extensive selection of herbal teas but in this colder weather you might want to consider our fresh ginger, lemon and mint tea with honey. Guaranteed to leave you feeling refreshed, healthy and virtuous.

Would you like to work with us? This is the lovely Darcey (l) and the equally lovely Ruby (r) who are doing a fantastic job for us. Sadly, Ruby is leaving us to go to Japan, which leaves a vacancy. Joppa Rocks is a very friendly place to work and we pay well. Ideally, you will have had some experience in hospitality and are 18+ but we might be prepared to make an exception if you are indeed exceptional.

Have you tried our fabulous Seafood Chowder? Served with sourdough bread, it's a meal in itself.

A chocolate cake to die for. Please order some before I eat it all.

Chocolate mousse made with 80% cocoa and fresh raspberries. The finished version will have a home-made raspberry sauce. Thanks to our lovely customer for agreeing to the impromptu photo shoot.

Sadly, we have had to cancel our lunchtime bookings today, following a break-in last night. Thanks to our neighbours and friends for their concern and words of comfort. We are busy sweeping up broken glass and hope to be open again in an hour or so. As for the scumbag responsible, couldn't you at least have left the staff's tips?
