⚡IGNITE Performer Announcement: WAMNAM - A Digital Dance Odyssey⚡ @wamnam.official ⏰ Sat 24 Feb, 19.30 🎟 Tickets: follow link in Bio and click 'Events' or via @traversetheatre Box Office 🔸️The Digital Dance Odyssey is a live stage performance that explores the interconnection between digital advancement, social interaction and dance evolution. Through episodic dances, we aim to shine a light on the progression towards “performing for camera,” probing the question of “performing for ?” in the future world. We hope to inspire the audience to reflect on the impact modern digitalisation has had on the way artists create and present their work, and concurrently, how this has affected the way we consume performance art as viewers, and how we interact with each other as a society. 🔸️WAMNAM is an eclectic and experimental dance group that explores various dance styles, including hip-hop, contemporary and commercial, with a focus on incorporating digital visual arts. They launched in November 2022 and generate and rehearse dance repertoires weekly, containing both smaller group performances and larger movement pieces. ⭐Adults Breaking Classes with Ilja - Free for Teens this term!⭐ @illakoka 🔹️Every Saturday 🔹️5-6pm 🔹️Age 13+ 🔹️Free for 13-19yrs Suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience in breaking - classes are bookable on a week-by-week basis and each class can be booked up to 6 days in advance. For teens taking this class there's no need to book in advance - simply come to the studio at class time. Proof of age such as Young Scot card may be required! Since then, he has been training hard to hone his skills and cultivate his own unique style. At age 18, Ilja moved to the UK to study Law and Criminology at the University of Northampton - he was the only breakdancer in the university, so began teaching breakdance classes and delivering workshops for students. Ilja has performed at various international dance events, including hip-hop events, battles, showcases, theatre performances, exhibitions, and music festivals. Ilja's main strength is his continued dedication and determination towards improving his breaking skills.
