Positive Change Through Football
Street Soccer (Scotland) is a non-profit social enterprise which uses the power of sport to promote positive change in the lives of socially disadvantaged adults and young people in Scotland.
A special day for Street Soccer Scotland players who are off to represent Scotland this week at the Homeless World Cup as they received some support from Celtic Manager, Brendan Rodgers and South Korean midfielder Yang Hyun-Jun.
As the team prepare for a life changing experience in Seoul, players took part in a Q&A with Yang who was quizzed on everything from Korean Food, Climate to saying hello and ‘how did ye get they legs muscles so big?’ 😊
Lots of smiles as a result and thanks to Celtic FC for the kindness.
A great day at the National Stadium on Monday as some of our Scotland Homeless World Cup players and team partners enjoyed a day out with the Scotland National Team.
Kicking off the morning by watching Steve Clarke take a training session with Scotland Men’s team, players including Ben Doak, Tommy Conway, Max Johnston and John McGinn took time out to offer some support to our players as they took part in a pitchside media call and photoshoot at Hampden Park.
A massive thank you to our partners at Scottish FA for hosting and also a massive thanks to our Official Team Sponsors Burness Paull LLP, The Malcolm Group, Edinburgh Airport, The Hunter Foundation and David Yarrow Family Foundation. We couldn’t take part in the Homeless World Cup without your support!
The Homeless World Cup takes place 21st- 28th September in Seoul, Korea. More information and updates coming soon.

Despite the challenging weather conditions with rain pouring down, the players maintained high spirits throughout the games with the team from our Sighthill programme taking the trophy.
Players joined us from countries like Afghanistan, Eritrea, Nigeria, Somalia, Ukraine, and more, to celebrate the power of football as a universal language and showcase the importance of community.

Friday marked the exciting beginning of EURO 24 at our Change Centre, where our family-friendly fan park was set up to welcome guests from the local community.

The fan park offered a variety of entertainment for the whole family, including inflatables, dance performances, a gaming van, DJ sets and workshops from our partners Turn the Tables.
