This Care Home Open Week we look forward to opening the doors of our luxury care home to give the local community the opportunity to find out more about Brookwater House, and to join us as we celebrate our first birthday!

On Saturday 29th June we will be hosting an afternoon of music, entertainment and fun for the local community!

Entertainment will include a live ABBA tribute band with complimentary drinks and a BBQ, as well as ice cream and face painting for our younger guests.

It has been such a lovely day here in beautiful Enfield. The sun has been shining, we have been working up an appetite with a morning exercise class outside, followed by a fabulous lunch and a relaxing coffee with family and friends. The recipe for a perfect day, all we need is some sunshine tomorrow and a some good luck in the football! Fingers Crossed!

Speech and language therapists (SLTs) provide life-improving treatment, support and care for children and adults who have difficulties with communication, eating, drinking or swallowing. Yesterday we had the privilege of welcoming Dr Anna Volkmer at Brookwater for a talk about Speech & Language Therapy. Thank you

We celebrated our 1st Anniversary yesterday at Brookwater House! We treated all our staff to a BBQ and drinks to say thank you for all their hard work over the year from our home manager and our residents. 😍🍗🥗🎂

We had a special visitor for breakfast this morning! Our residents have a lovely time feeding all of our furred and feathered guests.

Being so close to the river and the wonderful green spaces of Enfield, Brookwater House is blessed with a wide range of wildlife friends who visit us daily for treats.

It is very important to take some time out of our busy everyday lives for relaxation and some time just for ourselves. Yoga is an excellent gentle exercise for both body and mind and is suitable for all ages and abilities.

We wanted to wish a huge Brookwater thank you to the fabulous Elza Perez Dance Troup for your inspiring Spanish dance performance on Saturday morning. Our residents, families and staff had the best time, not only watching but joining in the dance too!

You have filled our hearts with joy, laughter and the sudden wish to buy a flamenco dress!

Did you know that Emus can reach up to 6ft 3inches in height?! Neither did we, but we do know that our trip to Hertford Zoo on Friday was fantastic! We had so much fun seeing and learning all about the animals and enjoyed lunch in the café with our friends before returning home with stories to tell.

It was a grand day out, why not come and join us on our next adventure?

Friday was such a special day for us with fantastic trip the Alexandra Palace Garden Centre for our residents and their families. We had a wonderful time admiring all of the beautiful plants and enjoyed pastries and coffee in the café outside in the sunshine. We were so blessed to have a magical day with such good friends, great treats and excellent weather.

Our outstanding scone makers mixed all the ingredients with a secret sprinkle of baking love and Brookwater magic to bring a taste of the Westcountry to London for our Friday afternoon tea.
