The previous USB LED lights didn't cut it. They caused a background hum, and the slightest power cut would just turn them off (mid song), even with a power pack. Anyway, I got these eveready rechargeable LED lights (£20) which last for about 3 hours and are much brighter too.

In case you've not noticed, I've not been doing much music lately. The main reason is that I'm doing 7 days a week between the tea room and my other job, and I'm crackered.
The other reason is that although I had a good load of gigs last year, half of them were to drunks or largely disinterested punters. I'm not gonna start playing pop tunes for singalongs, and I'm way past kissing arses. If gigs come along, I'll consider them, but I plan to mainly do busking from now on. I'm not going out in the cold weather either, cos I've got something like VWF or reynauds and my hands just freeze. By the end of Feb tho, I should be doing plenty of afternoon / evening busking with the titchyministage. Might get a zettle too.

Finally got the last bit for the titchy mini stage. Streetcube for £100. Just need some decent weather now (and gigs).

Had some down time with music whilst getting the tea room running. But I'm looking for gigs again from next week. Shares welcome.

Slow start to 2022, but gigs rolling in now!

Hello. This is an observation and 'hint hint' rather than a whinge. Looking for actual help rather than what you might think is 'constructive criticism'.
2022, I've got a handful of gigs booked, and I see acts with practically their whole year filled already.
It's true that I don't spend hours a day phoning round people, but that's for two reasons - I'm still working and have commitments, and I don't have a massive list of contacts (gimme this list lol).
Every week I put in a few hours promo work, but I think I should be getting further than I have even with that. I need help with promo - I can't do it all.
I do contact movers and shakers, but I am loathe to keep asking for their help - do they ignore me because of me, or them? I dunno, but grovelling doesn't sit well with me, and I'll stop asking after a few attempts. I've always helped people who've asked me for help, but the truth is I've given more than I've got back.
So where am I? I'm playing at the top of my game, but I'm still getting nowhere quick. I am the 'undiscovered country'. I'm a potential H bomb.
I have no management, I have a few people that book me regularly and / or occasionally, and a few friends that actively share my stuff / encourage me. Aside from that, there's a big hole that I need to fill. Promoters, management, superfans etc.
Maybe I've read things wrong. Perhaps I'm not good enough to go any further? Actually no - there are some fkn average acts out there who are killing it. I think it's more down to 2 things. I'm not 'pleasant' or 'inoffensive', and I don't have time for fools or kiss anyone's ass. And I haven't got a 'hook' than people gravitate to. I'm just a middle aged white fkr doing what I do best with the time I've got. What I do though is fkn good!
So here's the crux. I'm appealing to anyone out there that can actively help, and in any way really.
Can YOU promote me (e.g. for gigs / festivals).
Can YOU give me a slot at your venue.
Can YOU give me a support with name acts.
Can YOU share my posts, or even react to them.
Can YOU play my music when I send it out.
Can YOU be that person that takes credit for getting my career moving again?
So, come on then. Let's be avin you. Get to it...
