This weeks swim was very much needed.
It had been a tough week for Andy and one of my best friends Russell, as their father Jim passed away this week.
During the swim Andy very pointedly said referring to the cold “that it was about accepting the cold, accepting that it’s happening” and in many ways the same can be referred to with grief and bereavement. Acceptance that someone you care for and love so much is no longer with us is something that is painstakingly hard, but when you do start to accept it, it slowly starts to become bearable.

Today is Mid Summers Day and a swim in the Dart is much needed to try alleviate some of the stress, of being told that our car used for towing the coffee trailer will be out of action until end of August as the garage has to wait for a part to come in. Luckily with the kindness of friends and hopefully some sort of initiative/luck, I’ll be able to open still over the coming weeks, however it may be more sporadic and less consistent than I’d like. On this note, I’ll be back at the Lawns tomorrow (Saturday) from 9 to 4.
Still buzzing about my swim on Tuesday morning, forgot to post this video of his serene it was! Open today until 2ish. Still a couple of loaves left:)
