Hello All.. I'd be interested to know what the next steps this group would like to take in the New Year will be? Throw out some ideas in the comments below this post for what this group could be about/start doing in Countess Wear that would encourage caring for the neighborhood, connective neighbours with positive activities or just adds goodness and kindness to the local area/people. Feel free to write, like and reply to comments that you feel connected to. This group has to be move forward by the interests and motivations of it's members so it would be great to start to hear some ideas for what you all want to do and how you will join together to make things happen?

Hello Group Members.

It has been flagged up to me that some neighbours in Countess Wear might benfit from being able to go for a walk either on Christmas Day or Boxing day or even just some time during that week between Christmas and New years.

As a community builder I am not working over christmas so this is not something I will be able to attend. However, I thought it might be useful to flag it up on this group to open this up for discussion.

would a few neighbours like to take the lead on this?

I guess it might be helpful to ask... are people around/free over Christmas? Do you all think there is a need for this to happen over the holidays? Would anyone like to lead something like this? are there creative ideas to encourage a christmassy walk?

The Mobile Music Hub

Hey guys... also I was wondering if you all have seen this? it cost £50 to bring this christmas story play to the neighbourhood (plus fuel cost)... I am just picturing this on the green space in countess wear... I wonder if this could be a fun project to pitch in for as a first go at making something positive happen on the green? we will have to be fast as I have just called and spoken to this group and they are getting booked up fast!

anyone interested in making a funding bid to the council to see if we could do this in Countess Wear?

With Lockdown over and moving in to Tier 2 we can gather in groups of 6 for outdoor walks. Tina is planning to be outside cafe 24 on Thursday 3rd Dec at 11am. We will just go for a short half hour social stroll around the neighbourhood to meet up and talk about the happening around the neighbourhood.
I hear the neighbours on Wear Barton Rd have set up a lovely Christmas Tree in their roundabout and my aim is to head over there to look at their lovely decorations... anyone around to join me
We will shoot to be back at the cafe 24 by 11:30 for a warm drink... we can sit socially distanced outside the cafe for more chats if anyone wishes or you can shoot back to work or your day.
