I don’t like the term “annual top up” - it really is down to two things -
1. personal preference - if you’re happy with your tattoo there is no need to keep adding pigment, all this will do is create a blocky over saturated and unnatural tattoo!
2. How faded the tattoo is - if there is enough room in the skin & the pigment has faded down quite a lot, then we can boost the colour with another session! Again, we wouldn’t want to do this every year just because we call it an “Annual Top Up” - this can be done 6,9,12,18 or even 24 months from the first time you had your tattoo done! We all break pigment down differently so it really is personal preference & how saturated the tattoo is! ✨

This is down to 1. Personal preference & 2. How much pigment is in the skin still 🤍
Do not feel you HAVE to have an “annual top up” - it really does depend on you & your skin - there’s no time scale - HOWEVER I find it you go over 2-3 years, the tattoo fades down too much and a second appointment may be needed, which is fine, but I do charge a further £50 for this appointment ✨
