It doesn't often snow here, but this morning it is, so I'm enjoying an @beingmethod breathwork while I sit in the hanging chair. I love the way that sound changes while it snows.
I'm currently recovering from covid and have been reminded of the importance of fresh air for recovery from illness and movement to reduce aches and pains. Am going to evoke my inner child and do what my daughter would be doing if she wasn't at school today, spinning and jumping around the garden catching snowflakes in her mouth π
Hope you have a lovely day whatever you're doing βοΈ

Sometimes you'll know what caused your pain, other times you won't. If you are concerned it's important to get checked out by a regulated health professional (Osteopath, Physiotherapist, Doctor, etc). When you visit me you will have time to discuss your concerns you'll be assessed and we'll chat through options, then if suitable you'll be treated for any tension that may be contributing to your pain. You will also be given advice that fits into your lifestyle and can work well for you. This is whole-body, individualised, person-centred care. This is Osteopathy by Laura Turner!

Enjoying a little sunshine, nature and the healing power of green space. Can you hear the nature in my garden? If you're struggling with your health and want to find a more healing state of mind it can be helpful to intentionally find some peace, focus on your breathing and listen to birds, try to see what different shades of green you can see or watch a gentle you tube video that makes you feel relaxed. This can be all you need to calm an over-excited nervous system and get into a rested state that allows healing to occur. It doesn't need to be difficult, you don't need an alter space or take much time over doing it. Following recording this there was shouting, loud cars, barking, power tools and other things that broke the peace. I am grateful that I had my 5 minutes, which incidentally was the title of my favourite book as a child, mainly because there was an elephant called Laura as a main character π #selfcare #gardenpeace #mindfulness #birdsong #nervoussystemregulation #5minutespeace #nature
I feel a deep gratitude when being trusted with a person's health, especially someone's child. To see health and excitement for life return is an amazing experience. @theperrintechnique provides hope that otherwise can be lost for so many people living with CFS/ME, and I am so proud to be able to do this in my work. #cfsme #lovemyjob #gratitude #osteopathy #perrinpractitioner #feelblessed #growth #cfsrecovery
To get back to doing what you love it is important to be kind to yourself, start small so you don't exacerbate your condition. Each day ask yourself: β¨ What can I do that will make me smile? β¨ What physical activity can I do? β¨ What household chore can I do? β¨ What can I do to relax? This will look different for everyone, and doesn't have to be an exhaustive list of things. For me, I will be: π± Spending time with my daughter being childish, crazy dancing, spending time with friends and my mum. π± Going for a walk. π± Cooking a delicious, nutritious dinner. π± Playing a board game then watching The Great with my husband. Try not to focus on what you can't do currently, that will come with time. If you practice the things above daily for 3 months you can reframe your relationship with your condition and positively alter your brain and nervous system, over time this with make your condition take up less space in your life. Hope you enjoy practicing some super awesome brain hacking. π Get in touch of you have any questions about ways to feel better and move more without feeling worse. #pain #fatigue #chronicpain #chronicfatigue #braintraining #feelgood #lifesajourney #personalgrowthjourney #exeter #health #wellbeing #nervoussystem

The beautiful scene from the clinic window today reminded me of this quote. βIn every change, in every falling leaf there is some pain, some beauty. And that's the way new leaves grow.β - Amit Ray It makes me think about the release from chronic pain and the growth that comes after an experience like that.
