Shearing
We have been busy on the farm shearing the sheep. Attached is a video of our shearer working. The main reason that we shear our sheep is for Animal welfare. Shearing our sheep reduces the risk of parasite infestion and avoids heat stress. Wool is a good material for a number of reasons such as being breathable, moisture-wicking, thermally insulating & biodegradable. Did you know that wool is great for gardens too? Some of the benefits of using wool in your garden are.... - Reduced grow time for vegetables - Water savings - Softens hard clay soils - Pest control - All-natural/organic properties - Wool is a wonderful product, that since the invention of synthetic fibres, is often wasted. Hot Day at the Farm Shop
It was a hot one today at the Farm shop and Butchers...so the kids took matters into their own hands and decided to help keep Paul the butcher cool! 😂
