“The hospice did a wonderful job of looking after my wife before she died. Every single person there went beyond to ensure not only she, but me and my family, were looked after.

📍 𝐎𝐤𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐧 – 21 August from 10am until 12pm at Toast Coffee House, EX20 1HN.

This week our heroes went quite literally the extra mile to help us raise vital funds for our hospice.

Hospiscare Heroes – From memory fundraisers - Hospiscare Our Hospiscare Heroes have been flexing their superpowers to support our charity in an incredible variety of ways, from memory fundraisers

Men in Sheds Exeter was set up 15 years ago to support mainly retired men by providing them with a place they could meet like-minded individuals. 🔨

But in October 2023, the group was forced to close its doors when financial challenges faced by Age UK Exeter meant that the group could no longer use their premises as a workshop.

⏩ Fast forward to today, where Men in Sheds Exeter have been given a new home at Hospiscare’s warehouse in Trusham Rd, Marsh Barton trading estate!

Rhodri Morgan, Director of Retail at Hospiscare explains:

“Both Men in Sheds and Hospiscare exist to support the local community, so sharing our space to enable more people to benefit felt like the perfect solution. It’s an absolute pleasure to be able to provide the group with a place where they can once again meet up and continue their important work!”
