Our Northernhay room is the largest ground floor space that we offer. The room comes with its own lobby area, which has access to our community garden, and a kitchenette that is included in the hire cost.
This space is perfect for hosting meetings, talks and get-togethers.

Spicy soup, light snacks and refreshments will be supplied by the Mulberry Tree Cafe from 5pm.
The Camellia plant donated a few months ago by D'Arts has started to flower and is a lovely addition to our garden. We are looking forward to the warmer weather and being able to spend more time outside!
Join us for a fun and friendly knitting course run by Exeter College. This four-week course is perfect for beginners and provides an opportunity to learn the basics of knitting, have a natter and build confidence with numbers.

The Centre was happy to host the first meeting of Exeter Community Assembly last week! Hopefully, this is the first of many meetings and events this year.

The Haldon room is another popular room for yoga and other large group activities. It is also used by Exeter Acupuncture Project every Wednesday, for affordable acupuncture treatments.
If you do not have a blue badge, the closest off-street car parks are in the Guildhall and Mary Archers Street.

D'Arts recently donated a bench in memory of Joy, a longstanding member and trustee of the organisation. The group met a few weekends ago in our courtyard to mark the occasion. The Community Centre feel very privileged to have been chosen to honour the memory of Joy and have it be a special place for her family, friends, and colleagues to return to and remember her.

Join us for WOW! A social evening to meet, greet and share!
The idea behind the WOW! is simple. Over the course of the evening, anyone can take the stage to share anything they'd like.
There are just three rules for anyone who'd like to contribute:
1) Do something WOWsome.
2) Stick to 60 seconds or less.
3) Keep it family-friendly.
For example, you could do a magic trick, demonstrate some first aid, share five facts about your favourite movie, tell a joke or read a poem. It's up to you!

Behaviour sometimes described as ‘challenging’, can have a severely limiting effect on a child’s potential and a negative impact on the whole family.
This workshop, led by mental health and learning disability nurse Kevin M Hickson, is designed specifically for those directly involved in caring, providing an opportunity for us to take a different perspective and share ideas within a non-judgemental, safe and supportive environment.

This role will give you an opportunity to work at the heart of the St. David’s community and be directly responsible for maintaining precious green space in Exeter.
The ideal volunteer would have a passion for gardening and take pride in the outside spaces at the Centre, looking and feeling welcoming. Some knowledge or experience would be great, but it is not essential.
A successful applicant will form part of the existing volunteer team here at the Centre under the guidance of our lead garden volunteer.

In partnership with Jay's AIM Exeter Community Centre is hosting a free CPR training event on Friday, 1st of September, from 2 pm.
The session is an opportunity to learn about the charity and gain the life-saving skills needed to help someone in a medical emergency. If you would like to join us, please register your interest by emailing [email protected].
A brand new defibrillator, which was very kindly donated to the Community Centre by the charity Jay's AIM has been installed in one of the phone boxes outside the building. We want to thank Jay's Aim for their donation and hope the defibrillator will help our visitors and everyone in the wider community feel reassured should it ever be needed.
