Such an enjoyable and inspiring visit to the Supporters Day at LandWorks today. What a great space and charity, unsurprisingly they’ve won two 2024 awards for their work. We love what they are growing and creating! Such stories of compassion and resilience. The produce and products are amazing too 💚

A productive afternoon in the kitchen garden for Emma and our lovely volunteer Val, making a bean support🌻 We’re so proud of how the plot is shaping up and growing thanks to Emma and all those who’ve been helping to develop and nurture this space from the ground up! 👏 🌱

Another inspiring visit to Organic Arts this week! We’re lucky to have places like this in our community where learning, growth and wellbeing are connected to the land. What a great space to be.
Who’s going to the Barn Dance on 27th July?

Another beautiful little harvest from the kitchen garden today! This has been such a great new space for us to learn and share the joy of growing and harvesting edible crops - like these Charlotte and Desiree potatoes, onions and garlic.

‘Clear the trolley’! Exminster PO kindly have a trolley-full of leftover summer plants available - for a pay-what-you-can donation to New Leaf 🌸 We are so grateful for the continued support of our community.

First year of the kitchen garden at New Leaf and its already producing a harvest! Hoping to gradually increase this space to include cut flowers.

We have some great reductions on 10cm annuals at the moment so if you still need to brighten up your baskets, or pots do call up to New Leaf for some bargains!

Big thanks to Brend Collection for supporting our service with this great commission for bug hotels - championing local biodiversity and our woodworks department, and creating opportunities for adults recovering from mental health issues working towards employment.

One of our students has worked alongside service users to create this scarecrow called Marley for our allotment this week. Great work Daniela and Karen!

Sunny weather deserves sunny plants! Our plant sales area has some wonderful sun loving plants right now to add extra pizzaz to your plantings.

We’ve been in the kitchen garden this morning using our New Leaf trug for harvesting lettuce! 🥬

These lovely trugs are individually handmade here with our service users, and are £28 each. They’re perfect for flowers, fruit, veg and more, and make a great gift for gardeners while helping to support our service.

It looks like we’ll be having salad for lunch!

Unfortunately, due to the wet weather this year, our contractor hadn’t been able to cut areas of grass where we need access and also by our growing areas, to reduce w**d seeding. This may happen next week so advanced warning that despite the fact we normally adhere to no mow May, we will have to have some areas cut.
