A half set is an alternative to a full set and achieves a similar effect using a lesser amount of lashes. They can be applied to make natural lashes appear thicker or by adding length to the outer edge lashes for a more noticeable look.

If it's your first time getting semi-permanent eyelash extensions and you're unsure of the fullness or style of lashes that would suit you best, a half set is a great place to start, giving you a chance to get used to them as adding or removing lashes are easier.
