In a gently held space you will take away tangible information and healing techniques to positively inform and ease your day to day life at this pivotal stage of life.

Teresa, traditional acupuncturist has 20 years of experience working with women within their peri menopausal and menopausal phases. She is passionate in weaving both the clinical skills and ancient wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine as an empowering tool for women as they journey through their maturation cycles of life.

We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough, and we'll be more content when they are.

After that, we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage.We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our partner gets his or her act together when we get a nicer car, are able to go on a nice holiday, when we retire.

The truth is, there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when?

Your life will always be filled with challenges.

It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway.

A quote comes from Alfred D. Souza. He said,

"For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, or a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life."

This perspective has helped me to see that there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way.

So, treasure every moment that you have and treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time...and remember that time waits for no one.

So, stop waiting until you lose ten pounds, until you gain ten pounds, until you have kids, until your kids leave the house, until you start work, until you retire, until you get married, until you get divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until you get a new car or home, until your car or home is paid off, until spring, until summer, until winter, until your song comes on, until you've had a drink.... there is no better time than right now to be happy.

Happiness is a journey, not a destination.

Work like you don't need money,

Honey Rooms was created from a boundless joy that runs through me and wants to be expressed creatively.
My nature has to feel its way to things rather than simply do. I have to allow it to be instinctive.
It felt like a natural calling to make a wellbeing space for others joy and self-discovery. A beautiful space of sensual elements of warmth and calm, light and texture.
Just as I have created the shop and invited makers, creators & designers to fill the shelves and rails as a place to share and gift and bring delight, Honey Rooms is a natural expansion of that. Somewhere for therapists to expand into with their offerings for your wellbeing.

Reflexology is a complementary therapy, meaning it can be used alongside conventional treatments for optimal results. It works on the principle that the feet are mini anatomical maps of the whole body - with every organ, bone, muscle and system corresponding with a specific reflex point/area.

By working these reflexes and pressure points, it’s believed that blocked energy can be shifted and certain issues can be addressed by triggering the body’s own healing response. Reflexology is a holistic therapy, working on the physical, spiritual and emotional, evoking deep relaxation and re-balancing and grounding the body as a whole.

Just like with the feet, facial reflexology works by applying therapeutic massage and pressure to specific points on the face, prompting the body’s healing mechanisms - helping to improve circulation, nerve conduction and encouraging the release of toxins from the body.

The proximity of the face to the brain and central nervous system, makes the calming effects of this holistic massage even more rapid and may make it a little tricky to stay awake!

Hot Stone Massage Therapy is one of the best treats for your body during colder months. The hot stones bring about a deeper relief of tension and stress. The application of heat increases blood flow and this helps muscles heal. Combined with the massage it soothes aches and pains, stiffness and inflammation. The heat relief and massage greatly reduces anxiety, helps with sleep and will naturally detox your system and boost your overall immunity.

The hot stones are used on the back, shoulders, chest, legs and my favourite… the soles of the feet.
The experience is the ultimate deep relaxation and ease of stress. I felt like all the knots in my body had been ironed out and I felt so supple again. My mind felt so at ease and my general happiness and vitality boosted.
The addition of the hot stones was so beneficial and I felt it reached deeper into the body to get to the real places of tension.
Jemma uses Neals Yard Organic Massage oils and I chose Women’s Balance which was wonderful.

In this one and a half hour healing circle Teresa will share self acupressure techniques to harmonise and strengthen your energies.
The Heavenly Star points are a collection of the most important acupuncture points* used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for hundreds of years and still used by acupuncturists today. These points have a connection with planetary energies that we may be more familiar with in astrology.
Teresa will illuminate you on this inter-connectedness within our body system.

ACUPUNCTURE
Teresa is a traditional Acupuncturist who has practiced as well as taught, trained, lectured and mentored for 20 years. She is really knowledgeable and passionate about treating the body by understanding our connection to nature and our bodily rhythms, with focus on the person not just the condition.
With an awareness of how modern living can cause imbalance in our bodies, and how over time this means our body loses its ability to heal itself and be vital.
Traditional Acupuncture is a nature based medicine that can treat a broad range of conditions both physical, and mental-emotional and psychological, ultimately bringing the equilibrium and connection our bodies have lost.

ASTROLOGY
When I met Teresa I instantly felt her deeply rooted sense of our connection to nature and seeing the ‘windows’ within us that can be opened and flowing for us to live in a truer wellbeing.
Teresa also has great knowledge of Astrology and revealed to me that the study of planets and the universe was an integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine going back thousands of years.
Something in me sparked with a ‘wow, of course’ it makes so much sense….. the inter-connectedness with the external world, the environment, the universe itself. All so very powerful.
