Urg. Today was a massive eye roll day.
This kind of stuff is normal in my practice, but today just seemed ridiculous!

It is okay to ask what training your practitioner has in taking care of a breastfeeding woman.

I see misdiagnosis every week, lots of unnecessary antibiotics which has a ripple effect of its own and lots of deflated parents.

Thank you to all of my patrons that enable me to do this really important work. I’m going to buy a bottle of wine and cheers to you tonight !

If you would like to support me (please do) here is my link!

Every tiny monthly donation helps to keep my work sustainable.

Peace out.

I am desperately seeking new patrons as currently our group, Baby Connections Frome has run out of funding and I am financially unable to do it in a voluntary capacity any longer.

I know things are so tough for many, but if you could spare even £5 a month, and enough people did this together we could make this sustainable until we secure further funding.

I cannot tell you how important this group is to new parents ♥️

We had a great meet up today with local Doulas and we all talked about how far we travel- and I had so much respect for those that sometimes travel well over an hour to meet Clients!

In the early days of my career I used to travel a lot more, but now my radius is very small- infact, ideally I like to be able to walk to my clients house !

I love the benefits this brings me - not needing to rely on a car, the ability to ‘pop in’ and the weather is never a barrier!

As a Doula, how far do you travel to work with Clients?

A full admin filled day, followed by an Frome NCT antenatal class and I was able to introduce a new teaching aid- these are weighted babies at different stages in utero! Much fun (and education) was had by all!

I absolutely love tacitle teaching aids and these are great! Also supported by Bobby, by and the fantastic Birth Prep In A Boxby The Nostalgic Doula

Ready for bed, ready for tomorrow- another full day awaits! ♥️

Self care needs to a priority in nearly all families that I work with (including my own!)

As some of you may know, I am the Queen 👸🏼of keeping things simple, so on this sharing Sunday please tell me what your simple self care methods are!

I look forward to reading them and inspiring others!
