Some design features for this amazing property. Oak and glass stair cases with custom built storage underneath, making use of the space.

This massive loft conversion looks great and adds a wonderful master bedroom with ensuite to the already large house. Ensuite is designed with him and her in mind and the 5 large velux windows offer a lot of light and views over the countryside. Watch for next post of custom kitchen/dining area with custom made resin table for the same property.

This awkwardly shaped kitchen was no match for us! Came up with a design layout the customer loved and created this stunning kitchen space with plenty of storage and features. Call today for your kitchen quote.

Nice layout idea for galley bathroom in Westend. You loose the bath but opens up the space by putting walking shower next to window. Not a straight forward project but great results. This customer went for Victorian Style bathroom wear which suited the old tenements.

Photos from Warrior Construction's post 05/10/2022

Not all projects are straight forward but we will not sacrifice design for an easy shift. Here we had to hire a crane to lift a 200kg skylight over a 2 storey house and onto a rear extention roof. Definitely worth the effort as the light into the kitchen extention is great and compliments the space.

We've not posted for a long time, mainly because of personal circumstances but we've not stopped working and have plenty of photos to show you. If you're looking to get a project done next year, get in touch for a no obligation quote.

For many of you, us builders are a mysterious bunch. We turn up at your home, with all our amazing tools and materials, ready to get working on your home and transform it into the space that you need it to be.

Of course, every single builder is different, and you can never know 100% what to expect. We want you to have a solid idea what we are going to do and the things that we may ask of you. Here is a quick guide:

1. We will give you a timeline

We will let you know when we expect things to be finished at the very beginning of the project. Of course, things can happen, and there may be delays on the way, but this should give you some indication of how long you will have to cope with the disruption.

2. Give us a key

Whilst there is every chance you will always be there when we need to access your property, what happens if you decide to go away for some of the time, or you have left your home when we need to gain access. The last thing you want is to find that we cannot get in and therefore, the work is delayed. It is a good idea, right from the start to give us a key to gain entry whenever we need to. Or agree on a safe place where we can pick up a key from.

3. You can trust us

Seeing as we are going to be working on your home extension, usually when you are not there, it makes sense that you will need to be able to trust us. This means that we will go out of our way to make you feel comfortable and give you peace of mind that we will work the best we can for you and your home. We can put you in contact with some of our previous customers who will testify to our trustworthiness if that would put your mind at rest.

If you are starting to plan a bathroom, then you’ve come to the right place.
After the kitchen, the bathroom is probably the most important room in the house in terms of resale value, so it's well worth getting it right. It may be one of the smallest rooms in your home, but it can still have a big impact.

Carefully planning from the start will prevent costly mistakes and changes down the line.
Here are some simple guidelines to follow and you will be enjoying your bathroom for years to come.

1. Assess your bathroom needs
Start by thinking about who will be using the room, as this will have a big bearing on how you plan a bathroom.

2. Measure up your space
A scale plan of your bathroom space is a good place to start. Measure carefully as accurate dimensions are key and include features that are likely to affect the design, including windows, chimney breasts and doors.

3. Seek out inspiration
Choose your style early on as this will help narrow down the choice of fittings to consider. Your main options are period style, classic or a contemporary look.

4. Be realistic about your space
There’s no point pining for his-and-her sinks, a statement walk-in shower or a double-ended roll top if they won’t fit. The truth of the matter is it isn’t going to be possible in most UK bathrooms – apparently, the average footprint is about the same as a king-size bed.

5. Factor in storage
Storage is the key to a successful bathroom – and no, a minimal glass shelf won’t be enough! Toiletries never display well nor do shampoo bottles standing on the floor of the shower. A substantial vanity with space for extra towels is a smart buy.

Of course we would love to help plan and build your new bathroom. Get in touch or visit the website https://warriorconstructionltd.co.uk/

Your kitchen is more than just the part of your house where you make and prepare food. More often than not, they are social spaces where you come together with your family (or friends) and spend some time together chatting or relaxing.

This is a great idea, but what if you don’t have the space to do this? This is where the idea of a kitchen extension comes in. Kitchen extensions can give you much more space. But you still need to make sure that the space you have is big enough for entertaining.

Here are our quick tips:

1. Have a seating area

The best thing you can do to encourage people to spend time in your kitchen with you whilst you cook is to have somewhere to sit.

2. Let in the light

You want to make sure that your kitchen is as light as possible. A bright kitchen will appear to be as warm as possible and welcoming. Of course, natural light is the best option, but if you cannot have too much natural light, you could always opt for artificial lighting that will illuminate your kitchen as much as possible.

3. Plan, Plan and Plan again.

The importance of good kitchen design cannot be overstated. Designing and planning your kitchen is key to making it user friendly for you and your family. This space is about storage, access to appliances, safety when using appliances, easy access to food storage and so on.

At Warrior Construction we have years of planning and fitting kitchens. If you are considering a change to your kitchen, check the website and get in touch. https://warriorconstructionltd.co.uk/

What is permitted development?

The principle of permitted development (or PD) rights is simple enough: they allow certain changes to be made to a home without the need of planning permission.

What changes are allowed by permitted development?

The main changes permitted development allows for are:

Extensions (to a certain limit) or alterations to a house
Certain porches, doors and windows
Sheds, pet enclosures, fuel storage structures
Exterior painting
Gates, boundary walls and fences below 2m height
Installing certain micro-generation equipment

There is a long list of more unusual allowances, such as converting a barn into a home and building some temporary structures – but there is also a long, long list of complex and detailed restrictions.

Here at Warrior Construction, we can guide you to whether your plans will need Planning Permission and Building warrants or whether the warrant alone is sufficient.

Whether you’re thinking of a garage extension, side extension, double or single-storey rear extension, there is much to consider as you embark on an improvement project to expand your home.

As with any big home improvement project, it’s worth sense-checking your plans before you dive in. Unless money is no object, it’s worth speaking to a good local estate agent who can give a view on whether your plan would add value to your home.

We will always try and guide and advise you of the best way to maximise your project. For more information get in touch or visit the website https://www.warriorconstructionltd.co.uk/
