Introducing Dr George Rae, aka the Plague Doctor Worrywart! He’s just getting settled at ready to be snapped up along with his other Worrywart friends.
This exclusive design was so much fun to make! We wanted to keep him authentic to both the Worrywarts and the factual nature of The Real Mary King’s Close in Edinburgh. His box features all his historically accurate facts (Miasma-proof & 400 years old!) along with a stunning custom pattern made with his iconic paraphernalia like his mask. Each one is cast in solid black concrete then waxed and polished with eco friendly wax.
Find them on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh or coming soon to their website.
Today the very special Worrywarts made their way to .giftoftheyear.awards for in person judging. They are one of only a handful of products that made the shortlist in the Design & Craft category. This year judging takes place at in Birmingham where the buyers are also able to see them in person.
Hopefully their unique and quirky design along with the new packaging and of course these stunning photos will be enough of give them a good shot!
Wish them luck and if you’re at the show please go visit and loudly exclaim your love for them!
A sneaky peek at something extremely exciting that’s landing at in Edinburgh in the next few days!
Well the new collection has been getting so much love at over the last few days!
It’s such an amazing feeling to get such positive feedback after all the months of hard work.
Boxed are ready! The new packaging for the Worrywarts is absolutely beautiful. Come and find me tomorrow at to see them in person.
The new packaging really showcases the new products! These bold, eye catching boxes are printed all over with our faceted pattern and featured beautiful product labels telling you the story behind each item.
A huge amount of time, effort and hard work has gone into these and they turned out perfectly!
The team at worked really patiently to capture the spirit of CURED and refine it right down. Just bringing these boxes into reality has been a 4 month journey. From sourcing a box maker in the UK, refining the design so each box is unique (there’s 3 sizes fyi), writing the story for each product (named after a Scottish landmark) and deciding on internal packing materials, it’s been a lot.
But when you hold this box in your hands you know you’ve found something special.
Not long now! We’re busy getting all the last minute things organised for which opens on Sunday. Minor details like shelving, boxes and flyers! Got to love that artistic brain and last minute ideas for keeping us on our toes.
Really looking forward to seeing the new collection all sitting together ready to order for the first time. We’d love you to come and visit!
Let’s talk about this amazing graphic design. We worked with to really bring the beauty of the faceted concrete into 2D print which was no easy task. They took the hand carved surfaces and duplicated the shapes into this stunning pattern. We then used the seasonal colour palette to dramatic effect. This pattern will be used to its full glory on all the boxes for CURED products it’s going to be stunning!
Come and see them in person at next week.
Little bowls, lots of choices.
What do you fill them with? Jewellery, loose change, keys, candles or even snacks! Each bow is hand waxed with an eco friendly food safe wax to seal them and keep them looking shiny.
Rinky Worrywart has a very cute source of inspiration! When the range was expanding we very much wanted to have one that was reminiscent of our pets. They’re such good friends and so good at chilling us out, just like the Worrywarts should. A faithful companion that’s always ready for adventures. Whatever adventures mean to you, perhaps big hike, a new job or just daily life sometimes.
No wonder they’ve been shortlisted for .giftoftheyear.awards along with the other Worrywarts!
Are you ready to meet the Worrywarts in person! They’ll be launching at in just over a week. The full range of 5 designs will be on show along with their gorgeous boxes. The boxes are so new they’ve not even been made yet! The good news is they’re being printed right here in Scotland from sustainable recycled cardboard and custom made just for us so they’ll be ready.
If you’re looking for some amazing, unique, handmade and sustainable products for your store then please come along and visit. We’ll be on stand CG60 in the Craft Gallery section.
Industrial elements are an important part of CURED’s design aesthetic. The Skye bowl features copper pipe end cap’s repurposed as a support foot. Not only does it add a beautiful metallic pop to the bowl but also adds stability.
One of the base elements to all of CURED goods is the interplay between brutalist industrial concrete and perceptions of craft. Zoe aims to reposition concrete as a luxury craft materials akin to glass and wood.
Are you an indie gallery, beautifully curated shop or amazing retail space? Cured wants to be on your shelves!
Nothing makes us happier than sending our homewares out into the world and having them grace the shelves of other small businesses, especially if they’re female founded just like us.

But we’re always on the look out for more. If you think we could be the perfect match please leave a comment and we’ll be in touch. The wholesale guides are ready and itching to be sent out, either digitally or as beautiful magazines for you to browse during that all important coffee break.

Definitely a day to relax, keep warm and light some candles.
The Handa Candlestick Holder is the shorter of the unique designs but no less impactful. Named after Handa Island, nestled off Scotland’s northwest coast. Handa Island unfolds a wild tapestry of raw beauty, traverse rugged trails amid puffin colonies and soaring cliffs.
Products that feel as good as they look. Each object is design and crafted by hand to make them feel as tactile as possible. From the carved faceted sides of the Salisbury to the untra polished Rosa bowl, they are meant to be touched.
WE DID IT! The Worrywarts have made it through to the Shortlist of .giftoftheyear.awards in the Design & Craft catagory. They’re one of only 15 winners in the section so it’s an immensely proud achievement.
The next step is the in person judging where each one really gets to shine! With any luck the judges will fall in love with Rinky, Dinky, Chief, Elder & Mighty just like you have.
Winter is truly upon us and what better way to light up the dark night than with candles.
The Storr and Handa candleholders add drama to any table scape with their hand carved faceted angles reminiscent of Scotlands great stone stacks.
It’s launch month for CURED in Glasgow’s SEC between 21st - 23rd January.
We’ve been working hard putting the finishing touches to packaging and brochures to have it all ready. It’s the first time the full collection will be shown together and available to order.
If you’ve been a stockist of we’d love to see you and share the excitement about the new direction as CURED. We hope you love it as much as we do!
Zoe will be on site to take orders and chat everyday. Find her in the Craft Gallery section, Stand CG52.
The shortlist for .giftoftheyear.awards will be announced very soon and wouldn’t it be amazing to see the Worrywarts on that list.
Not only are they beautiful, they’re also quite helpful. Design to channel your mindfulness, each one is imbued with positive qualities like Elder’s stress busting or Rinky’s cravings for adventure. Each one is slowly hand crafted for coloured concrete and polished with food grade wax to be uber tactile.
Let’s talk marbling. Like many things it’s a process that requires a little bit of luck and a whole lot of practice.
Over the years Zoe’s experience of working with concrete and combining colours has allowed her to develop several different techniques.
With the new collection the process has been refined further. Using tiny quantities of concrete, small sections are created in the marbled design. By selectively colouring certain areas designs are brought to life. The Nevis Bowl is one of the best examples of how marbling can be used to enhance the organic design.
