“Hi there, I just wanted to share a photo of Ross from his first day at school this morning. Ross spent just under 2 weeks in NICU and SCBU after being born a little early in 2019. That likely would have been a lot longer had we not spent 3.5 weeks in the maternity hospital being cared for prior to his birth. We cannot thank you all enough for looking after our little boy so wonderfully, and playing such a vital role in helping him to become the strong boy he is today. ❤️ x

“Just an update on Eddie’s first day in Primary one:
Eddie was born full term on 7/8/19 with HIE and underwent cooling therapy treatment to reduce brain injury 🤍 Our family are still so thankful for the care and support they received from the RHC NICU! After a rocky start, Eddie had a great first day in Primary 1 💛”

“Ella was born at 26+2 weeks and spent 80 days in the NICU at RHC then 3months on home oxygen. She has been amazing us all ever since. Today Ella was a very excited girl on her First Day at School. It’s sometimes easy to forget looking at her now that in May 2019 she was a very fragile 760g. Forever grateful for the care she received from all those amazing doctors and nurses. Not forgetting the emotional support they gave us too. ❤️❤️”

“Today was my son’s first day of school and he was in the rhc unit when he was born for 3 weeks! You treated him for meningitis and he is still under the care of Endocrine and neuro today but he is thriving and such an amazing kid. Thank you so much for catching it early and saving his life and he is here today to make this milestone! Xx”

“My daughter spent a large chunk of time in your NICU, Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow and she was transferred from Simpsons Special Care Babies twice and had three life saving operations in Glasgow.
When we reached her due date we went back to Edinburgh with a very bleak prognosis but she has battled hard and started school today. She has a lot of complex needs and health issues but is the happiest little girl ever, she is going to love school x”
