📣BORDER WOMEN’S AID LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE ⬇️

www.borderwomensaid.co.uk

We are thrilled to launch our new website to women impacted by domestic abuse, funders and partner organisations. The new design, mapping and content improves access to our services for women affected by domestic abuse as well as providing a valuable resource for professionals, and anyone interested in learning more about how domestic abuse affects our community.

Carol Walker, Service Manager with BWA said ‘We are delighted to launch the new BWA website. Our aim was to create an effective, accessible, inclusive resource for women who need us, survivors and professionals. The new website is user-friendly and includes a wealth of useful information about domestic abuse as well as our contact details and ways you can support the charity’.

We would like to thank all of those who have worked with us to develop and launch this resource, which was made possible by support from Scottish Women’s Aid and Charities Aid Foundation.
BWA worked with fuzzylime on the development of the website and ViVid Design Consultancy on the design and illustrations.

January is nearly over at long last - some of you dry folk are looking forward to your first drink of 2022, others are glad it’s pay day, but we are particularly pleased that we’ve finally got round to redesigning our own website.

Such a well-deserved honour for Emma Ritch - much loved and sorely missed.

Last night Emma Ritch was posthumously awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Scottish Public Services Award 2021.

We're incredibly proud and honoured, and pleased to be able to share the acceptance speech given by the Convener of Engender's board, which you can read via the link below:

Little green blog | Replaying memories 17/08/2021

In these times where feelings of loneliness and isolation can be intensified we have been working with Sporting Memories to develop an app to tackle dementia, depression and loneliness through the power of sport. You can browse through other people's memories or upload some of your own. If you know of anyone who could benefit please share with them. PS There are lots of sports, not just football.

Little green blog | Replaying memories We first worked with the sporting memories project when we were asked to create them a website many years ago. The organisation started with football and then began adding different sports and there are now 14 different categories to choose from.

We are shocked and saddened to hear this terrible news. Emma was a truly inspiring and brilliant woman and we are honoured to have experienced the pleasure of working with her for many years. She took a punt on fuzzylime in our very early days and was a great supporter of our work and we will be forever grateful. She has done so much for so many - the legacy of which will live on. We were lucky enough to bump into her on many occasions in a mutual favourite meeting spot and enjoyed our chats on reading and lots more. Our thoughts are with her family and friends and all who loved her. The world has lost a true champion. X

It is with profound sadness we share the news that our Executive Director, Emma Ritch, passed away suddenly on Friday 9th July.

Statement: https://www.engender.org.uk/news/blog/announcing-the-death-of-our-executive-director-emma-ritch/

Engender will be closed this week as we collectively process the loss of our brilliant director, colleague, and friend.

Photos from Saheliya's post 23/06/2021

We worked with Saheliya on their Access2Safety project. They do amazing work that is invaluable and innovative - it would be devastating for so many people if they were unable to continue. Please share if you can or ask Tesco to think again.

Little green blog | The Guy for wine 10/06/2021

It's nearly the weekend and it's most certainly almost wine o'clock. If you want to find out more about the wine you are drinking or are just looking for a fun event for your friends or business then we know just the Guy.

Little green blog | The Guy for wine In deepest darkest lockdown 2 - or was it 3 - we were in desperate need of a night out with friends but had absolutely nowhere to go. Even the real struggle to get a taxi home from Christmas nights out was beginning to feel nostalgic. We were all Zoomed out with no end in sight.

Little green blog | Free from fear 27/05/2021

We're delighted to be able to show you the new website we've designed for Women's Aid South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire.

Little green blog | Free from fear We were delighted to be approached by WASLER (Women's Aid South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire) to design and develop a new website for them.

Little green blog | Lest we forget 24/05/2021

Happy Monday everyone. We're delighted to share with you our latest launch - it's one for a charity we love to work with.

Little green blog | Lest we forget We first worked with Scottish Veterans Residences many years ago when we were commissioned to research, write and design a book to mark their centenary year - SVR was Scotland's first ex-service charity when it was founded in 1910.
