A bit of floor maintenance carried out at Partickhill Bowling and Community Club in between Christmas & New Year. The floor has had many years of use and was needing a refresh rather than a full refinish. Using the BONA recoat system the floor was deep cleaned, screened and resealed with BONA TRAFFIC HD Lacquer. This is one of the toughest finishes on the market and will see this floor shine for many years to come.

Just Restored Engineered Maple Floor. A very well used and tired floor brought gently back to life. With a thin top layer of hardwood a delicate sanding process is used to remove the minimal amount of material to bring this floor back to as good as new. Finished with a Matt Lacquer from .

1920s Hidden under a carpet Pine with Cherry border floor brought back to life today.

Contracted in to finish 120m2 of this newly fitted floor in the West End. This solid tumbled oak floor was firstly treated with a Natural Hard Wax Oil with a special white pigment to avoid the darkening and yellowing that can happen with oak and oil. Finally sealing with two coats of Satin Hard Wax Oil for a tough durable finish.

Another restoration completed this week. Removal of obsolete stone hearth and patched in picture frame style with reclaimed boards to match original floor. Fully stripped back and fine finished then sealed with a Matt lacquer from . All done and handed back to client in 3 days and dust free.

Just completed restoration in Maybole. This solid oak oiled floor had become scratched, dull, tired and discoloured and needed a full refinish. The client was looking for a easier floor to maintain and a similar colour choice. Stripped back to bare wood and stained mid-oak then sealed with a primer and finished with 3 coats of Matt lacquer from Grand Parkett.
All completed dust free and handed back to the client in under 2days.

Another Restoration rather than Replace. This solid maple floor had given many years of use but was tired and yellowed and had recently had some repairs to blend in due to a layout change. Before & After of a recent restoration just completed in Jordanhill. This Teak floor had been over coated with lots of layers of finish over the years which had dulled the beauty of the wood. Fully stripped back, fine sanded and sealed with 3 coats of Matt lacquer for a tough durable finish.

Very tired pine strip kitchen floor given the white treatment. Stripped back and given a White Wash/Nordic stain and sealed with a high traffic lacquer that will dry to a Matt finish.

Change of colour restoration. This floor had 20 years + of use and was showing its age and was in desperate need of some TLC. Fully cross sanded to flatten the cupped boards, fine sanded finished and stained Dark Oak. Finally sealed with a Matt hard wearing lacquer for another 20 years use.

Just finished this mammoth restoration in Dowanhill Glasgow today. Removal of disused hearth and stitched filled with reclaimed boards. Lots of repairs to loose, uneven and missing patches filled in before a heavy grind on the sanders to get a flat surface to finish. Sealed with a satin lacquer from . Before & After of an original pine floor just restored. Quickly turned around for the client as moving in day was looming. Double cross sanded to flatten the cupped boards, fine fished and sealed with 3 coats of a hard wearing Matt lacquer from . Handed back to the client in just over 1.5 days.

Just completed restoration of this Birch strip floor. Final coat of Matt Eco Silver Lacquer supplied from . Will have a low sheen when dry to show the beauty of the wood. Glad to see the back of underneath the radiators 🥵.

Another floor restore recently completed. This engineered Oak floor had over 10 years of use and was starting to show its age and had lost its natural colour turning orange. The client was looking for a new fresher and light look so selected a Nordic Tone finish to transform the area. Fully resanded and sealed with two coats of Nordic Tone and two coats of Commercial High Traffic lacquer.

Just completed restoration in Uplawmoor.
Uplift and removal of all floor coverings and repairs made to damaged and loose boards. Sanded to a fine finish and coloured with a Dark Oak stain. Finally sealed with a high traffic Matt lacquer.

Love this solid oak herringbone floor refinished this week. After doing some repairs needed due to a new kitchen layout the floor was fully refinished and sealed with a Matt hard wax oil.

Off with the old worn through yellowed finish and on with a fresh Nordic White sealer for a more contemporary raw look.

Old orange spirit based sealer sanded off from this solid oak floor and refinished with a Matt polyurethane lacquer. It will have a raw Matt finish when dry.

Another restoration just completed in Hyndland. Uplift of carpets and hardboard revealed lots of loose and damaged boards from previous plumbing and electrical works. All safely secured back down and cracks, splits and gaps filled to match boards. Fine finished and sealed with 3 coats of matt lacquer. All carried out in 2.5 days with minimal disruption to client.

Recently completed fitting of 14mm engineered Oak. Fitted throughout a very tricky hall seamlessly through to kitchen and dining area. All door bottoms & base blocks cut in situ to accommodate new flooring level. Completed with solid oak door thresholds and bullnose on stair.
