☀️BLONDES PLEASE READ ☀️

Sunscreens are full of different chemicals…. Two of which can cause big problems with blonde hair and blonde hair extensions:
1- Avebenzone, sometimes called Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane
2- Octocrylene.



Avebenzone protects against UVB rays as well as UVA rays once exposed to the sun it only offers protection for around 30 minutes, therefore in order to prevent this, Octocrylene is added so that it works for longer.



The reason that these two ingredients have a reaction when your blonde is because they are active ingredients and if it is combined with water that has a high iron content, which is most of the water, the iron in the water can cause oxidation, aka a rust stain. This is why exposing your hair to sunscreen over a number of days during hot weather will cause this chemical reaction, and the end result...pink/orange hair extensions

Always check the ingredients of your sun creams so you don’t discolour your blonde!!

If your hair does stain from the sun or suncream Mali u C hardware sachets are amazing at removing the staining

We will be at the Goole Town Tigers JFC tournament on Sunday 30th June at west park offering coloured hair sprays, hair tinsel and hair feathers and also penalty shoot outs! All funds raised will be going towards the Goole Town Tigers u9 whites trip from west park to Wembley!
