our amazing laundry team pride themselves on keeping all our residents clothes in perfect condition so they can look there best at all times! to do this we need lots of coat hangers of all types! unfortunately we have hit abit of a shortage at the moment, so im asking if anybody has any spare coat hangers of any kind they would like to donate to our laundry team! this would be very much appreciated by all!

what a beautiful day for our garden party!!! 🌞
it was sooo lovely to all be sat outside enjoying the sun, with friends and family, enjoying one of our favourite singers and tucking into a absolutely gorgeous spread done by our Dawn and Belinda!!
thankyou to everybody who came! and well done to all the staff for making it perfect for everyone ❤️

today our favourite little people came to visit again!
the children from Howden Pre-School are our regular visitors who bring so much joy to the home! such happy, polite and understanding children, and the residents enjoy every second of them been with us! today we sang songs and did some crafts!! thankyou!! ❤️❤️

oh what a brilliant day!!
today we was blessed with a visit from the Yorkshire Lamb Orphanage, and had an afternoon of lamb cuddles! 🐑
the residents and families (and most definitely the staff) LOVED every second of this and the home was filled with smiles 🥰
thankyou so much!!

today we built our greenhouse again, ready for this summer (if we are getting one 🥶)
all the residents are busy planting their sunflowers for our annual sun flower competition!! 🌻
last year we were lucky enough to have lots of plants such as tomato plants, cucumber plants, peppers ect donated to us, as well as some beautiful bulbs and flowers, for the residents to grow, and look after
this was an absolute hit last year, soo we are here again looking for any donations for our residents and their green fingers!! anything is very much appreciated by us all! 🌺🌻🏵

all the residents have been chatting and laughing about what the secret to a happy life is, and we thought why not share them around Howden to brighten someone elses day too! 🌼

today we had a food hygiene inspection!
proud to say we are maintaining our 5 star rating!!
absolutely no doubts, as we have the most amazing and professional kitchen staff ❤️

Today this beautiful couple are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary, with a romantic meal for 2, some fizz and of course a cake!! there wasn't a dry eye in sight!! ❤️

Yesterday we had the absolute pleasure of our little friends, from Howden Pre-School back, to sing songs with our residents, we all adore your visits, it brings smiles all round, thankyou ❤️

Today some of the residents enjoyed a visit from two of our favourite people, Dennis & John, for another lovely Chapel service, thankyou ❤️

Today we had our Christmas Party! 🎄
all the residents and their families, enjoyed our lovely singer this afternoon, followed by a buffet!

its been a jolly old afternoon, thankyou to everyone who came! 🎄🎁

This morning some of the residents enjoyed making Christmas cards for friends and family, and decorating our party hats ready for the big day!🎄

And to celebrate national mince pie day, our fabulous cook Dawn made some amazingggggg mince pies for everyone to enjoy 😋🥧🎄

These two wonderful ladies have been busy today, decorating one of the christmas trees in the home 🎄

we loveeee our decorations that where hand written by the children at the school a few years ago, the residents love to sit and read them❤️
