you set for School, 'The Cornelius Vermuyden School and Arts College', when it's not even Vermuyden School in Goole, but somewhere in America

you still call Sainsbury's, 'Jacksons',

Creation is the only place to get men's clothes from,

La Bodrums is better than Pizza Hut,

you see the 'Walking Man of Goole' twice a day,

you read Ernie Firth's comments in Goole Time's every Thursday,

you see Robbie Clark pi**ed out o his face everyday, singing, and watching him get banned again for going into Spoon's naked,

Drunk = Pi**ed = Steaming,

there's more unemployed than employed,

it was a sad day for you, when Woolworths Closed,

you can walk through town in seconds, but manage to mek an afternoon of it,

you have to walk about 2 mile's to Mcdonalds,

you go to Xscape, Donny or Hull for Cinema or to do a spot of shopping,

Goole Town Council does f**k all for Town,

you read Goole AFC lost yet another match,

you wake up to sight of 'Salt and Pepper Pot',

you witness the same Christmas lights put up from the last 20years and they just chuck them on trees at yon-end o town,

you go to 'Roger Tuby' fair, in Estcourt Car Park,

you used to hear the old War Siren go off in Timms Mill, for Dockers Dinna,

your at Bonfire night in West Park and they play the same music every year and something always manages to fall off the display,

the only language you hear as you walk into town is polish,

you wonder why you still get stuck in the middle of town at a railway crossing at least five times a week whilst other towns seem to be able to build bridges and tunnels,

you drive past the goods office and see a load of 14 year olds standing outside,

bible bashers were the kids who went to carlton school,

scunny kids ask you to say polo,

everyone knows who Nutty Graham is,

Estcourt Street is the only all day free parking and there is never a space to park,

people laugh and say your a 'Goolie' or 'Gooligan',

you call every alleyway a 'Snicket',

you call a piggy back on ya bike a 'Kroggy',

you call a fifty pence piece 'ten bob',

you spent every day on the way home from school looking in 'Catalogue Bargain Shop' before Tesco turned it into a car park,

when you can remember the old monkey bridge with gaps in the floors,

when u can walk through Goole and you feel like the foreigner

the boating lake in 'West Park' and 'Bettys Cake Shop',

you can remember avin to dodge cars to go to the public loos when they were under the 'Clock Tower',

you can remember marks and spencers and a decent market,

you're probarbly related to at least 5 of the people you walk past during the day without actually knowing it,

when you've been away and see the 'Salt n Pepper' and Cranes and say " nearly home"!!! when all you hear is 'At end of day....',

when a bag of Sweets is a bag of 'Spice',

when you went to 'Newtons' at school dinner times to get a 'Frozen Twist and squeeze',

it comes to farthers day and your very confused and dont know who to give a card too,

you could get a 'Fat Dan' Special from chippy down carter street,

you have a 'Doubtfires' ice cream,

you remember 'noddy' and his ice cream van,

your bike gets nicked even though it was locked up and in your garden,

you got pushed in the 'Brickpond' after making a den and gatherd firewood,
