Wow, just wow
Invincibles!
Unbeaten in the league is some achievement!
Massive thank you to these 17 lads, that have listened, learnt and mostly importantly bonded over the season
Whatever has been thrown at them they have battled through!
Driving rain, double headers the lot... I applaud you all
Today we travelled to Kiddy and after 15ish we was camped in there half but fairplay they held there own.
Then Que goals...
Quick thinking from Bash to take a snap shot from a corner within the box to make it 1-0
1 then became two as Ali was fouled in the box, he made the penalty his own.
And then the 3rd from Bash provider on the right to an on coming Will to neatly slot into the corner for 3.
Second half there was half chances etc, but we rotated the lads around and played out the 35.
Massive thank you and respect to Kiddy for the guard of honour at the full time whistle 👏👏👏👏
We now focus on the last few training session and couple of friendlys before reset, recharge and go again next season in Div1
Massive thank you to our sponsor this season Aspire Painting & Decorating
Champions..... 🏆
Fantastic performance today from the lads all round, started really bright and threatened twice before eventually taking the lead from a great finish across himself from Jack.
One quickly became two with Will neatly finishing a freekick into the far corner.
Three soon followed from Bash down the right hand side smashing across the box.
We did camp in their half for first 15/20min...
Will then certainly taking goal of the day with a nearly worked move in finding space for himself and firing top bins.
2nd half Cobey scoring his 31st of the season, could have been a few more tbh
Tipton taking the opportunity to grab a penalty goal and one right on the full time whistle.
Well done boys, magnificent season from all 17 lads.
More picture to follow later. 😉
Evening been a while!!!
Mainly down to the stresses of playing double headers, in March!
Today we hosted a derby against Halas North, to be fair 1st half was a good battle, we just couldn't find the half a yard to either get the shot away or when we did it wasn't quite enough to threaten the North GK.
We did break the dead lock after about 20mins, Will crating through the defense and firing into the bottom corner.
1-0 (First game)
Second half we made a few changes, spoke about being calmer on the ball, getting it down and enjoying it more.
If there is one thing double headers do is pressure you to score quick and if you find the lads have even more pressure as the game goes on....
Cobey scoring a 30yd scream into the roof of the net certainly settled the lad in the 2nd game, and then we really settled, Goals then eventually coming from Will again with a great leap from the corner.
Ellis fired with in the box and Keiran took his goal well.
Could have been a few more but 🏳️ lino had the spoil of Ellis running through and neatly finishing into the corner....
2nd Game 4-0

We now have a couple of weeks off to recharge before playing on the road to Tipton & Kiddy in our final games
Away today on a pitch the size of Wembley!
Frustration along with a few words could be said 1st half, espeically after Oldbury took the lead from an unmarked corner after 15min
We couldn't get into our rhythm creating a few half chances, corners and crosses needed to be kept away from a talented Oldbury GK
half time we spoke about communication on and off the ball, and things went from bad to worse 10-15min in Oldbury carved us open for a 2-0 lead.
Que the wake up call!
Alot more communication and desire, working the ball around created threats behind a Oldbury defense that was setup to frustrate! Corner delivered from AJ beautifully beating the keeper for a goal line scramble and a goal back. Imy taking the plaudits...
Couple of further changes and another goal from a corner, couldn't really see the finish, I'm told Bash smashing it within the 6yd line.
Final 10 we couldn't take our chances 1-1 just wide.
Cobey hitting a shot from 30yds beating the GK but not the frame of the goal.
Played some good football after a 2-0 wake up call
Well done lads

Onto next week 1pm KO vs Kewford South
On the road early this morning for a 1st vs 2nd top of the table clash.
Thought both teams started brightly very early and not alot to seperate after the first 10min.
After 15 with a great counting attacking play through Will, Cobey and Bash saw us take the lead. A very well worked goal! From back to front through the lines
And with another 5 or so mins after we found ourselves 2 up with a neatly tucked away finish from Bash into the keepers fair corner.
A goal line clearance denying Cobey moments later, fair play to the Falcons defender for adjusting his body well on the line to clear!
Falcons did have us worried a couple of times 1st half with a few half shots just whistling past the post.
HT 2-0
Second half Falcons started on the front foot, winning a corner within the 1st minute... And fair to say pressed us hard for a goal, some great saves from our GK today to keep us in the match.
I thought alot of silly fouls were missed today for both teams, simple pushing on and off the ball went without reward.
With just under 20 to go we increased our lead with another neatly placed shot into and passed the Falcons GK. 3-0 game should have been over but fairplay to Falcons going straight down the other end with a 50/50 - 1-1 with the keeper rebounding and favouring the home side and trickling over the line.
Last 15 saw few half chances to out it best for us and again some great saves to keep the score to. 1 for Falcons from our. GK
FT 3-1
All the best for the rest of the season to Forest Falcons 👍

Away today to Kewford with the lovely burger van 😍
Started ok and pressed and played the first ten min in there half... Killer pass through our back four, probably caught them napping, and a little too high up the pitch and fairplay there RW flicked into the bottom corner 1-0 Kewford
1 became two 5/10min later, I thought a weak foul and their CM caught our GK off his line with a good little free kick 2-0
Two chances to goals....
We managed to drag ourselves back in about 5min later a nice penetrating ball from Ellis for Cobey to go 1-1 with the GK... 2-1.
A few fine saves from Kewford GK to deny a point blank header inside the 6yd box.
Few mins before the HT whilst we managed to get ourselves back into it with a shot/cross from Ollie Mc found the bottom corner 2-2
Game on HT
See second half saw us change the shape to 3 at the back after a narrow pitch and wanted us to more of a threat up top with two strikers...
Will finding a long range strike early on for 3-2.
3 became 4 with Immy moments later working a goal for himself battling with the CB in the box.
5 soon came with Will linking up with Imy in the box to demand the ball and neatly find top bins for his 2nd.
Imy then finding his brace again battling in the box and cooly shooting across the keeper for 6.
Subs and changes with 10 to go and Kewford got a well worked goal from the RW again and our GK couldn't get down and across quick enough.
Much better 2nd half from the lads on a tight pitch.
Onto training in the week to work on a few things

Great game today as always against a useful Gornal side.... Game started bright for us with Bash cutting through twice in the first 10/15mins... The later saw him squaring a ball on a plate for Cobey to slot home from inside the 6yd box. As usual Gornal look to play football and build up and play through their striker... Thought Ollie B and Brody were fantastic today in forcing him out or sticking with him and waiting for mistakes.
Cobey getting a second midway through the first half saw us take a 2-0 HT lead.
Second half we spoke about desire and winning our personal battles as we knew Gornal could nick one and be right back in the game.
How we didn't score within the first 5mins is beyond me, credit to Gornals No1 who kept them in it on that occasion and a couple of other times through the half, with a double point blank save!
Massive shout out to Alfie (GK) today kept us in the game with some fantastic saves in both halves and deserved either a clean sheet or MOTM....
With about 15min to go Gornal had one cleared off the line 👀 for them to probably deservedly score in the proceeding build up!
2-1
Again we went down to the other end and just couldn't seem to finish them off... With silly fouls or foul thrown inns towards the end frustrating both teams, it was a case of who wanted to win the game as it was there for both teams it was that end to end!
Que The Will and Cody show!
Will picking his mate out from 30-40yds with a right footed ping 9ver and across the pitch for Cobey to calmly come back across the defender and tuck his hat trick and to make it 3-1 with a minute(s) to play!! Oh and the 70yd celebration for Alfie GK 🤪
Gornal still wasn't down yet and kept believing!! forcing a corner right at the end but time just ran away....
3-1 FT

Well done lads 🟦🟥
On the road this week to Gornal Athletic...
Pitch was heavy and Gornal started well pinning us in our own half, few half chances for both sides on goal.
Half time 0-0
Half time we spoke about getting the ball quicker out wide as their centre half was quick and a foot race wasn't the option.
Didn't deal with the quick free kick and Gornal took the lead, for us 2/3 mins later evening the score with a well working goal from Imy. We soon then scored another team goal from Cobey and had Gornal rattled for 5mins.
Gornal equalised with a nice through ball which we didn't deal with 2-2.
AJ about 10min late cooly dinking the keeper with a cheeky left footed finish. 3-2.
Gornal weren't done yet and their keeper credit to him quickly playing a route one ball which our Stevie G centre half slipped on and their striker put it away 3-3 with about 12 to go.
Couple of changes for a final push and we got that just reward, AJ delivering the corner for Bash to calmly head across himself into the net 4-3!!!
Could we hold on!!! With 5ish left.....
A superb reversed pass from Bash cut their defense open on the left hand side and Ali pinging the ball across and over the keeper 5-3....
MOTM - Will 🎖️Drove the midfield today, well deserved

Fantastic game to watch, end to end battle....
Next week we do it all again as we host Gornal in a reversed fixture 🟥🟦
Today we hosted Forest Falcons in the league cup.
Great first half from a falcons point, I thought they dominated as we struggled to get into the game...
Both teams having chances, clear cut too
Unfortunately 15min in our keeper took a knock on his shin and couldn't continue, Bash had to go in goal as we looked to re shuffle.
HT 0-0
In the second half I asked us to press a little higher and enjoy the ball and relax. Again a few missed half chances just couldn't see us get the deserved goal. And An offside decision from his own half then resulted in a free kick and them scoring up the other end
That's football sometimes for you.
We threw a bit more at them for the last 10 in a reshuffle of formation but it just wouldn't go for us.
A push on Cobey on the last 5 when shielding the ball still wouldn't give us a break, ref assumed he was looking for it.
Falcons then punished us with drawing a foul right on the stroke of full time with their lad cooly converting the ball from the spot
Good luck to Dave and Forest Falcons in the cup and this season

First trip on the road away to Wythmoor
🟦🟥🟦🟥🟦🟥🟦🟥🟦🟥
Found ourselves racing away to a 3-0 lead (Cobey2 & Ellis) and probably should have been more before Wythmoor getting one back before halt time....
Another sloppy mistake after the break saw Wythmoor get another back 3-2, don't get me wrong the pitch was heavy and long in grass length which is the same for both sides but hindered our normal playing style.
Three goals around the hour mark and in very quick succession from Bash and a great team goal finished by Jack... Few mins later Cobey scoring to complete a hattrick and MOTM performance
Made hard work of it at the end by taking our foot off the gas and Wythmoor managed to get 2 more back.
Final score 6-4, although the Ref had 7-4 😜

A good win for our lads today.
A bit scrappy to start going 0-1 down but the lads kept there composure and battled through.
All the lads played well, a few in different positions but they dealt with it.
The way our lads are developing both on and off the pitch is absolutely brilliant and lovely to watch.
Big shout out to our opposition, great attitude and the management was very complementary about our team.
Big thanks to Jack for stepping up to be GK for Alfie who took a big knock.

Always a tuff start 1st game of the season, even more so at a new home ground...after a long pre season today saw us up against Oldbury, who we'd played not two weeks ago...
Never a straight forward game but both teams starting bright and both wanting to stamp there mark on the game.
It was Halas that stared the game brightly after 10mins with Charlie side footing a topbins effort from 18yds out to make it 1-0
Some 8mins later Bash on the right causing havoc saw his shot from 15yds out hit the roof of the net to make it 2.
Oldbury striker scored a well worked shot into the corner just before the half hour after being given space.
HT 2-1 chance for us to regroup and get some fresh legs on.
Second half Oldbury making alot of formation changes but just before the hour AJ reverse faking the centre midfield to create a lovely bit of space for himself to unleash a 20+yd effort over the keeper to make it 3...
Few more chances either end with us hitting the bar and Oldbury keeper making a fantastic close range block to keep the score to 3.
Oldbury unlucky in the dying stages not be award a penalty...
Final score 3-1
MOTM Alfie (RB)
Onto next weekend against locals Halesowen Town
Massive thank you to Aspire Decorating and Richard Whitehouse Tiling.
On the road again tonight away to Oldbury....
A strong and physical side...
Both teams started well with high energy, Oldbury taking the lead alittle after 20mins from a set piece corner.
Super striker Cobey then equalised with a great cross off the left from Jack.
Immy missing the best chance of the half from under the bar with a few mins of the half remaining.
HT 1-1
Cobey then scored a jubious penalty to give us the lead before 10mins later scoring a solo.effort after taking three players out the game from the byline.
3-1 with 18 left to play.
Oldbury then scored two quick goals with about 10 left to play, more fault in our own with marking and communication being the culprit.
Shakey last 5 I think for both sides with both having half chances to pinch it in the end.
3-3 FT
MOTM Charlie, excellent in midfield

Back to it today after 6weeks away from any games...
First 10mins we couldn't get our fooot on the game and it showed after Avery deservedly went 1 up....
We grew into the game scoring some fantastic goals before the half.
2nd half we played some good stuff again going 6-1 up.
Took our foot off the gas last 10, not winning the 1st or 2nd balls and let Avery back into the game.
6-4 final score, good run out
