Colourful accessories knitted in Yorkshire from pure Merino lambswool.
My poncho was perfect for the first evening at Y Not festival when the temperature dropped in the evening.

I made another Merino wool poncho with my waste yarn. I love the colours of this one. I'm making a few to sell at fairs in the run up to Christmas.
This is the reverse side of the poncho.
Sometimes I have an idea and spend hours working on it, only for it to not really match my vision, I then curse all the time I just wasted and throw it in the samples bag to gather dust.
But not this time, I had an idea to use up all those scraps of waste yarn left over from the snoods, (there are only so many pompoms you can make and sell π). I knitted them up with some British wool and made a poncho and I absolutely love it, the British wool gives it a bit of weight and I love the randomness of the colourful stripes.
I also love the back of this piece so it could be reversible. I'm keeping this one for myself but plan to make a few more to sell. I'm also thinking this technique would make great cushion covers.
Making yarn cakes from my big bag of waste yarn.
I missed my buddy today, especially as there were two beautiful greyhounds in the queue in front of us π’ I think this was taken at a local election a few years ago.
Using more of my waste yarn stash. Not sure if it's going to be a blanket or a poncho yet.
I got a stamp made up with my new logo from .co.uk It works great on these organic cotton bags that are going to be part of a new product.
I made myself a necklace with some of the pom poms.
I love picking colour combinations for pom-poms.
I found a job to do whilst watching the Euros, sorting waste yarn and making pompoms π
I made a custom order on Etsy for a reversible snood in the colours of Norwich City FC and was really pleased with how it turned out. If you want any of my products in different colours just get in touch on the website or through my Etsy store.
Pile of cowls waiting to be sewn up.
A few more brooch ideas for the craft kit.
Made a little bird brooch today from a snood I accidentally felted in the wash. I have a big pile of knitting that has either fallen off the machine and I've been unable to save or samples that didn't make the grade.
As I'm striving to be a zero waste business I thought I'd maybe design a few kits making use of the reject pile.
Quite happy with how it turned out so I'm going to work on a few more designs over the Bank holiday weekend.
Lace knit scarves waiting to be hemmed and washed.
Another skinny scarf design.
Never thought I'd get to see the Northern Lights from my back garden in North Yorkshire π
Coming soon, skinny lace scarves knitted in Merino wool
My studio buddy passed away yesterday after a short illness. He reached the grand old age of 12 and a half and he enriched our lives for just over 10 years. We were all there at the end and got to say our goodbyes, we will miss him so much, RIP Rolo π
Wearing my new pom pom earrings out tonight. I'm hoping to get some listed on Etsy tomorrow.
Building stock for autumn and winter 2024 has begun.
I just spent a ridiculous amount of time working out the neatest way to wrap with tissue paper, it was a lot harder than I thought it would be π. In the end I opted for a simple wrap with open ends.
Working on new branding this weekend.
Hat sample number 4, almost there, just a few more tweaks with the sizing. This one was done by decreasing stitches but not moving the stitches on the machine to close the gaps. It's so much quicker and as most of the hat is a lace pattern I don't think the gaps on the crown look out of place.
This is hat prototype number 2. It's still a bit small and is far too time consuming to do the decreasing on the crown to make it viable to sell. So today's job is prototype 3 with less decreases.
New tool arrived in the post. I'm working on a hat design and need this to help me shape the crown. Can't wait to get knitting at the weekend.
Working on some reversible headbands in the same colours as my snoods.
