Tyler Reeton for NYCC
Promoted by Geoff Foxall, on behalf of Tyler Reeton, both at 49 Forest Lane, Harrogate, HG2 7HB
Please read the message below about helping Bilton's hero Archie, please donate any amount of money that you can!
King Edward's Drive Post Office & The Red Box are pleased to announce that tomorrow, Tuesday, 11th May, we are launching our own Bilton Community Charity Appeal.
This is on behalf of "Archie's Army". Archie is Bilton's own Super Hero. He has Diamond Blackfan Anaemia. He is 1 of about 1000 people in the world with this incurable condition. He needs complete blood transfusions in Leeds every 3 weeks to stay alive. He has to travel to London 3 times a year for further scans and tests. Somehow his family has to look after him, his sister, their home, school, and fit in work whilst coping with the time and stress this all takes.
We are asking our proud and generous community of Bilton to help Archie and his Bilton family by giving any amount of money to help. At the same time show them that they are not alone, the whole village of Bilton is with them.
For every £1 you donate the Post Office will double it to £2 and The Red Box will then double that to £4!
Please help us help Archie. No other Post Office in the region is supporting their community like this. We are doing it to thank everyone for their support and custom.
We didn't get the result that we had hoped for and I apologise. The national trend really hit us hard but my team and I did our best and had the most positive campaign of recent years in Harrogate!
I want to thank all my supporters and my great team of talented and experienced members who guided me through this journey. I would like to say thank you to all those who volunteered to help out from Skipton, Ripon and other towns and villages across North Yorkshire.
Congratulations to Matt Scott on his win.
Labour isn't going anywhere, we have built a foundation for success in the future. We will be back stronger.
I will be back. 👍

To recap my priorities for and :
We have fought a positive campaign.
• I deeply care about our local community and co-founded the hugely popular Bilton Community Facebook group, which over 2,500 local residents have joined.
• I have been out and about speaking to local people about their concerns and promising actions, not words.
• As a young person, I have the energy and enthusiasm to make Bilton a better place for future generations.
• I have prioritised tackling anti-social behaviour and would work closely with Alison Hume as Labour Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire.
• I care about our local environment. I have supported efforts by local and experienced campaigners, including the local Labour Party and Geoff Foxall, to protect the Nidd Gorge.
• I would back measures to tackle traffic congestion, improve public transport and provide better alternatives to car use.
• I am committed to standing up for the community of Bilton, not playing party political games.
We don't need unnecessary political games. deserves better and I'm proud to be a candidate with a positive campaign which celebrates our community's great and beautiful traditions. ✅
The Liberal Democrats don't represent your interests.
You deserve better.

Let's put residents back in charge. Vote Labour on the 6th of May.
Who am I?
Tyler Reeton commented:
"I am proud that the local Labour Party has chosen me as their candidate in this election. Now I hope to convince you to back me too.
I am honoured to have co-founded the Bilton Community Group, which puts a spotlight on our great and magical business in Bilton and bring together residents of all ages and backgrounds. I am a key worker and have experienced the hardships of trying to find employment during the pandemic. My partner works for the NHS and I have seen first hand the great work the NHS does to keep our country safe and well.
I can't ignore the calls from residents. It is time to build back our community."
Tyler Reeton has what it takes to put Bilton's interests first. Vote Labour on the 6th of May! 🌹
🗣️ As the country's lockdown is easing, we need a strong, local champion to represent the residents of Bilton & Nidd Gorge to restore our community.
Tyler is endorsed by Geoff Foxall, a former Labour councillor for Bilton, who fought hard against developments on the Bilton Triangle. Tyler is dedicated to continuing Labour's support for our green spaces.
Tyler recognises that it will be tough to rebuild our community but with his passion, his trustworthiness and willingness to work with residents, regardless of political orientation, he is confident we can crack on with the job of putting Bilton and Nidd Gorge's interests first.
Tyler is determined to work hard and fight for his residents' interests as County Councillor.
Tyler Reeton calls for measures to curb speeding on Woodfield Road. After speaking to residents, they are concerned with the high amount of speeding motorists who use their community as a race track.
Rather than ignoring residents, Tyler will champion measures and work constructively with his local team of councillors and with local police. Our residents should feel safe in their own community. ✅
As a candidate for County Councillor for Bilton and Nidd Gorge, I support reforming our electoral system for the sake of democracy. The new structure of local government in North Yorkshire must have proportional representation and if elected, I will take a leading role in making this a reality.
Make Votes Matter
Have you noticed that the other parties don’t have anything positive to say about themselves?
People in Bilton have been commenting about how the leaflets posted by some parties don’t have anything positive to say about themselves. Instead, because Labour is gaining so much support due to our positivity, they are desperate to downplay our chances, even though more and more people are saying they are voting for Labour.
We are fighting a positive campaign.

Postal ballots are dropping right across Bilton and Nidd Gorge. Make sure you use both votes for Labour. 🗳🌹
Keep an eye on your letterbox as postal ballots arrive across and ! Remember to vote Labour for Real Change in Harrogate.🌹
📢 For public transport to be considered for daily commutes to work and leisure, it must be a genuine green alternative which is affordable and accessible for residents.
🚌 If elected, I will help to implement/support a park-and-ride scheme to connect Bilton to the rest of Harrogate.
🚘 I will co-operate with local bus companies and organisations, such as Harrogate Bus Company, to allow for more bus routes in Bilton. This will offer an incentive to use cars less for shorter journeys and reduce emissions in our community.
📢 If we want to get serious on reducing emissions and congestion on our roads, we need to back our buses and trains. As councillor, transport will be my biggest priority.
Out of the other six candidates, I'm calling for action and backing it up. Residents are fed up with false promises so let's change politics for good 🌹
📢 We all have a part to play to rebuild our community after COVID. That's why my platform as councillor will offer opportunity for all residents, regardless of political orientation, to get involved in the heart of policy.
🗳️ Make sure to vote Labour and send off your postal votes. We have an opportunity to elect genuine change and bring a breath of fresh air to the County Council.
It was great to speak to the Harrogate Informer about my priorities for if elected as County Councillor and my background and my values in politics.
I am offering genuine and realistic change for residents. 🌹

Great doorknocking session with Alison Hume, Labour's Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner candidate, with our team at Dene Park in (I was at work sadly).
They had great responses from residents who want accountability and genuine leadership! 🌹
Someone on my campaigning team has just seen this on the campaign trail, I couldn't agree more! 😂
Just finished another leafleting session! I shouldn't have been wearing a jumper but nevermind! It was great to speak to residents again about their issues and their love for Bilton. Residents have told me about their desire to end party politics and bring forward change. I'm glad to be the fresh face which is proposing realistic but real change.
What a view from Knox Way by the way! 🔭
