I’m no tech superstar and this page is linked to my personal page, after I had a fight with attempting to create a new one and deleting this one then failing at all the above, I decided to simply create my new page through the house of hair one!

Still awaiting the name change to take affect!

Today is the salons last day open, we have some spaces available if anyone needs a last minute trim !

I’m so immensely proud of my team they have been so graceful and understanding with all the changes that have been made this past month. I could not be more grateful for how they have supported me in the hard decisions I’ve had to make, I appreciate all of you ❤️

I have some BIG NEWS, something that i have been considering for some time now.

As of the end of July House Of Hair will be no more, the salon will be closing its doors for the last time at the end of day July 31st.

Dont panic, you will still be able to see your favourite stylists or at least some of them as we say goodbye to the gorgeous Ellie who is moving back down to her southern home.

With rising costs, recruitment and staffing issues, i have made the tough decision to close the doors to this chapter BUT we are not sad, its a fantastic opportunity for myself and the team to move forward on a new path into exciting adventures.

Anyone who has run a business or is currently will get this decision without me needing to explain, i do not want to drag myself or this amazing group of people i work with through the struggles of this current financial climate and more so i do not want to keep pushing the ever-increasing costs onto our loyal and valued clients.

When i started House Of Hair the world was very different, within 16 months we all endured a global trauma mentally, financially and for some physically. Hair salons were hit very hard and are still suffering the long term effects now and will for many more years. On a personal level my life has changed dramatically over the last 4 years and i now need to have more balance which, alongside the obvious reasons a business closes these personal needs have been a huge contributing factor on my decision, for those who know me im sure you will understand.

SO WHERE WILL MY STYLIST BE ?

Mel will be working freelance as her own business ( Studio Twenty Nine ) within the stunning salon Chalmers & Elder 26 East Parade HG1 5LT.

Blerta Isnt doing hair now till after summer as she is away with family and will be looking at her options later this year.
