One of the things I love about sharing the cakey love and helping people to ‘say it with flour’ are the lovely new people and clients I get to speak to 💕🧁

I feel happy and honoured that I can help those locally in celebrating special events with a surprise on their doorstep sent from loved ones

Yesterday, I got to share a little love and light during times of social distancing and isolation from loved ones.

I received an email for Yours Tastefully asking if I could help parents (who happened to live just around the corner from me), celebrate their anniversary and the client and I came up with a lovely plan. The son and his girlfriend, based in London, were having a celebratory zoom call with them at a set time, so we arranged that exactly 5 minutes into their facetime, I would ring the door bell (with disposable gloved hands) and leave a box of cupcakes on the step.

It was lovely to hear their cries of delight, from a hidden distance and just as lovely that we found a way, during isolation and lockdown, to find a way to make an anniversary celebration for an elderly couple just as special.

Despite these times away from our nearest and dearest, there are still so many creative ways to stay connected and share love. It made me very happy to be part of making yesterday special for a really lovely family.

It needs some tweaking but I didn’t have as much time as I’d liked this year or go on a lovely big winter stomp!

Everything on this wreath is from my garden, I don’t have but until I some I think the will be ok!

Last minute hanging gardens of Babylon homework project complete. Jake said it was even better than a Lego build.....😂

Hand collected, roasted and chopped chestnuts, sage from the garden and an egg from the chickens. Getting my Christmas stuffing ready!

Last night I made a warming bangers and mash with onion gravy for the family. I add red wine and onion marmalade which makes I it extra yummy!

We got busy with pumpkin carving last night which resulted in some delicious roasted pumpkin and garlic. I also love roasting the seeds with olive oil and paprika. I honestly cannot tell you how delicious they are and so so moreish. Even the kids love them!
