Sensory letters and sounds 🖐️

Multisensory activities hold so much potential for early writing and have a lasting impact. Using their senses stimulates different parts of children’s brains, making learning letter formation much more memorable and much more engaging. 🤩🧠

There are so many great materials you can use - rice, lentils, sand, salt, feathers, grass, sticks, oats, cereals….. why not give it a go at home!? 👍🏻.

Once made these are a fantastic sensory resource for sound recognition & letter formation ✍️

💡 Tip 💡 when saying the ‘f’ sound, remember not to add an ‘uh’ onto the end! It’s really important to say the pure ‘f’ sound and not ‘fuh’

This week we are learning the ‘c’ ‘k’ sound. Two different letters that make the same sound!
What will Mr Socks have in his magic box for us this week!? 🐱 🐛 🍰 🔑 🦘
Can you find anything at home beginning with the ‘c’ ‘k’ sound?
We normally refer to these as the curly ‘c’ and the kicking ‘k’
💡 Tip 💡 when saying the ‘c’ ‘k’ sound, use the action of clicking castanets or having claws like a crab! 🦀

Join us for an hour of Christmas crafting, singing, nibbles and a festive photo shoot by the fabulous Lulu 🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻This is an amazing opportunity to capture some beautiful photos of your little ones for the festive season. Digital images will be available to purchase 📷.

🎨We will also be taking part in some (not too messy) Christmas crafts which the children will be able to take home as always.

🎄A great excuse to wear something festive! Crafts will be as ‘non messy’ as possible… please just be mindful not to choose an outfit that’s too special!
