Baby Mella having a pop round at Arena hire, he was so mature from start to finish! Loaded straight up there and back, travelled well, jumped amazing and was so well behaved! We're still working on relaxation and softness but he's come on heaps since he arrived🥰

He's softened so much in the hand but there's still a way to go before I would class him as soft in the hand😆 once he softens then we can add a bit more power to the trot without him falling on the forehand and trying to tank off🙌🏼

The next generation has certainly found a love for the sport yay! Can't wait to watch him develop in the saddle too, he's a natural🥰😍
This pain in my chest is one I'm not sure will ever go away. This has certainly been the hardest month of my life, the mental strain of facing reality everyday has taken its toll.
If anyone would care to read Joey's story or donate to ease some financial strain I will forever be grateful. I don't expect any money really, words of love and support will help me just as much but lots of people have asked if they can help in any way and advised to start a go fund me.
I have worked so hard for so many years, through 9 months of pregnancy - I haven't stopped and this was such a huge knock to me financially and mentally. Sending love to everyone in the same boat who doesn't want to wake up to reality some days❤️❤️
I am working on getting a petition started to make a loose horse a high priority call to the relevant services as we understand this all could have been prevented with more urgent attention.

Our new 3yo, I've named him Denver as he looks super similar to a very lovely horse called Denver that I used to love riding but wasn't in the position to buy him when he was sold!💙
He's got exceptional breeding, great conformation and a real air about him! He floats across the ground! I've taken a step away from backing after nearly being kicked in the head recently (🤣) so this boy will be up for sale straight away, may do a bit of long reining and lunging however. We'll assess him and get some videos of him in the school. Standing at 17hh, he's a real BFG!

He's feeling so much more relaxed now, we had to take him right back to basics. We can get on now without him trying to run away, we can lunge on both reins very nicely now and not try to run away or turn in. His schooling has really come on, you can see how he picks up the change of the bend as we change the rein! Of course theres lots more progression that needs to be made but I'm really looking forward to helping him progress further, that jump is so powerful🙌🏼😍

In some positive news, Bonnie's eyes are looking soo much better. The left eye is more or less clear now and the right has a small ulcer that we believe (once it's gone) won't affect her sight🙏🏼❤️
Thankyou to everyone who has supported me through this extremely tough time over the last week. The rest of my babies (fur and human) are getting me through with their sweet and joyful ways, reminding me there's always light in dark times❤️ If there's anything postive I can grasp from the last week, its that I have a new found love for the little things, something I always made a point of recognising anyway but this week I see them even more. Missing my beautiful boy but hoping he is with me everyday in spirit💙

!!Please help and share!!
One of my horses got out onto the roads in the early hours of Saturday morning. There's no sign that he got out of the field anywhere, no fences down, no hoof prints, poos etc. We believe someone has let him out or tried to take him, he was advertised for sale for a large amount of money - whether anyone knew his exact location is unknown but someone was coming on Saturday to buy and take him to a new home.
A lot of stories along with the police log book don't add up. He was seen in the village walking along Hertingfordbury road back toward the yard at 2:51am.
Police tell me he was hit at 2:50am but also told me they had 2 phone calls. One at 3am to say there was a horse on Hertingfordbury Road and the second was at 3:10 that said 5 minutes previous to their phone call they had seen a horse between Travellers Roundabout and Essendon.
Through a bit of digging we believe he was hit in The Old Coach Road which runs passed Letty Green. We know he was hit by an ambulance (that was supposedly on its way to an emergency) and police attended the scene.
What I'm asking is for anyone in or near through area to look at any cctv they may have. Can you see a horse between 1 and 3:30 in the morning? If you live along Old Coach Road can you see an ambulance with lights go passed around 3am?
Please if anyone has any information at all, I've lost my baby and need all the help I can get. If there's been some foul play here I need to get justice for my own peace of mind and for my sweet boy who was so kind and gentle to everyone.
I've attached a photo of said horse for attention and so you have an idea of what to look out for on cctv. He is a big lad so won't have been missed by the eye or camera, we seem to have a lot of people telling us he hasn't appeared on their camera - it's not possible!
UPDATE: The accident occurred on the A414 roughly half way between the roundabout to Tewin and turn off to Hertingfordbury, at around 2:53am.
We can see on cctv my horse trotting toward the roundabout (time says 2:58am but assuming that is off by a number of minutes), closely followed within minutes by a vehicle going fairly quick (around 3:02, again times possibly slightly off).
Joey had his first ride back home yesterday, popped him over a couple of jumps at the end😍
He has gone slightly backwards in his education since being away so we'll sharpen him back up❤️
Even though he has gone a bit babyish again with his jumping he always floats over a fence and the power that comes up underneath you is immense!

16.3 5yo gelding sadly up for sale again due to unforeseen circumstances with his current people, happy to discuss this with potential buyers. I must stress this is absolutely no fault of the horse!!
Been winning rosettes with a novice 14yo rider. The kindest horse on the ground and under saddle, he'll jump anything you ask of him and always help you out. Not phased by water trays, fillers, etc.
One of a kind and hard to come by, talented with a mature brain. He'd be great to produce up the levels, we unfortunately can't keep h8m with us - also happy to discuss this with buyers and again no fault of the horse in any way!💙💙
Based near Hertford. Viewings welcome towards the end of next week to give him time to settle back at ours☺️

Unfortunately our little Bonnie boo has been having some issues with her eyes. She seemed to get an eye infection from the flies, I was trying desperately to find a fly mask that would fit but she really has the tiniest head ever!! Her bottom eyelids on both eyes flipped in which, understandably, was causing more irritation in her eyes. We're now not sure if she was born like that and the irritation plus flies is what really made them bad. So we've got lots of eye drops and meds, and we've put sutures in her bottom eye lids to pull them back out - we hope once the inflammation has gone down they will stay the correct way - if not she will need an operation to remove the excess skin so the eye lids stay down😔
We're not sure yet whether there will be long lasting damage to her eyes due to the irritation caused but I'm hoping and praying she'll come away with minimal damage💔🙏🏼
She's certainly a fighter and she's very much still in high spirits🤣🥰😍 so we're staying positive and rolling with the punches! If there is lasting damage we will just have to see how she adjusts and copes with this as she grows and it comes to backing, etc. And also how we can prevent or slow down any more damage!
Keep your fingers crossed for us😭❤️ I love her so much and will be heart broken if we can't do what I hoped we could in future years, but this is the reality of my job and livelihood.
Apparently, this is very rare so I thought it would be an interesting read for those of you interested and something to look out for in future foals!!🥰

4yo BE Scaramella (Mella) relaxing into his work nicely now! Starting to understand the right bend which is something he's struggled with. We just need a slight more relaxation and softening down into the hand, relaxing through the neck more❤️
We'll get there, and this one is certainly one to keep an eye on for the future! I'm really looking forward to feeling the power in his jump and getting him out BUT the basics must be in place first otherwise we create a nervous horse who works and jumps out of fear or one that doesn't want to work/jump at all!

So proud to announce the safe arrival of our new filly Bonnie💕 Mummy Viv gave us a textbook birth and is being a super mum❤️💪 both are healthy, well and hitting the required milestones after birth.
Many thanks to Clare Thomas for offering this lovely mare to us, she'll be well looked after and enjoy her retirement now🥰
And to Vicky Harris Transport who safely travelled Viv to us late in her pregnancy, she arrived super relaxed and Vicky kept us up to date the whole time!
This little filly is VDL Douglas x Bon Jovi, she has exceptional breeding - boasting extremely talented jumping lines, to include Indoctro, Darco, Ramiro Z, Concorde, Voltaire, to name a few!! I'm very excited about this ones future!!

Get off to pop the jumps up and she buggers off round the school fly bucking and running into fences. Gets herself so wound up there’s no point even getting back on🫠🙄 she’s feeling and looking great, clearly a little too great🤣 can see the humour in it now but was very upset with her yesterday after her behaviours this week.
I really don’t need to jump big to see how well she’s using herself over a fence but I just wanted to show everyone how proud I am of her popping round 105 like it’s nothing😭 Babe says keep it a secret and just enjoy it. Maybe a lesson I need to learn🤗
