Hoovesfest

Hi everyone!

A week on from Hoovefest and we have had some amazing feedback and we are so greatful for all who attended , performed , brought stalls and braved the elements to come out in force and support us.

However , we would like to apologise for all of those who had booked onto the 3 premier league kicks seassions at our sports village.

We had advertised and planned well in advance for them to attend and we received the attached message 15 minutes before the first session was due to start cancelling their attendance.

We understand the importance of ensuring notice is given well in advance for SEN children and for FC to cancel 15 minutes before the first session must have been very difficult for all those waiting in the rain to play.

This was outside of our control but we are of course very sorry for anyone left disappointed.

We will be contacting Stevenage FC to remind them how best to support the SEN community and hopefully guard against young people being let down at future events.

Thank you for everyone waiting in the the rain and thank you to and for keeping the sporting village literally afloat in the rather damp conditions!

As we all finally dry out and look back on what was a wonderful event on Saturday we just wanted to say a personal thank you to Tina Morris who allows us to run our event completely free of charge on her lovely land each year.

As always Tina, we are so grateful for your ongoing support of Therapeutic Hooves, it really does make a difference to so many.

For the third year running the fantastic team at Square One Academy will be putting on their amazing all clotheslining, suplexing top rope jumping wrestling show for you to enjoy.

Its an absolute highlight of the festival and not to be missed.

We are all as Vinnie Kray Official returns with his "I hate horses" attitude so we need you all to make sure he gets a good booing and let him know how awesome our horses are!

Wrestling show starts at 4pm and wrestling workshops are available throughout the day!

For all you foodies, we have a range of options for you, including Pizzas , Burgers , Crepes, Donuts, Ice cream, candy floss, cakes, sweets, slushies and you can wash it all down at the fully licenced bar 🙂

If getting your bounce on is what you want, then Hoovesfest has everything you need at our inflatable funzone. Wrist bands can be purchased on the day for unlimited bouncing and sliding!

For all of you Pokémon and Dungeons and Dragons fans, head over to the Geek Retreat Stevenage tent where the team will be running gaming workshops 🙂

Hoovesfest also has its own Craft village with lots of local business showcasing wonderful arts and crafts, from bath bombs to Croc charms!

THE MOJO SHOW with Dan & Faye will also be again with us to cover the event and The High Sheriff of Hertfordshire will be popping in to see all the fun we are having.

Hoovesfest is a dog friendly event and you can bring your pooch to the Amy's Tails of Dog Training Dog village for scent training demos , dog show and doggy stalls!

To get yourself in the festival spirit you can get your face painted with the incredible Aga's Fantasy Faces and festival hair with Gold Essence

You are all welcome to bring your own food , picnic blankets and seats as well, so you can set you camp and enjoy everything we have on offer.

The Dog show will be on from 1pm so make sure you come and check your dog into the category/categories you want to before 1pm! 🐕🐾

Along with the dog show there will be doggie stalls for you to browse through to treat your four legged friend to a new toy, tasty goodies, or a free muscle checkup from a dog massage therapist 😍 and so much more!

I will be demoing Scent detection for pet dogs, which you will also be able to have a go with your own dog, we will also have lots of fun games to play -fastest recall, -guess the cuddly dogs name, and -how many treats in the jar.

HoovesFest24 is an inclusive festival for everyone and we want everyone to be able to enjoy the festival Fun!

Hoovesfest has a quiet hour between 09:30 and 10:30 before the main festival begins at 11:00 am

There will be no music, flashing, flashing lights or loud music with reduced numbers to help support those who would still like to enjoy the fun but in a quieter way'
