M O O D B O A R D I N G

We’re compiling some mood boards in the studio today and thought we’d share the mood board from our Warren project. It’s too beautiful not to share on our grid. The inspiration came from links to the garden. We selected autumnal tones to create a warm, homely feel to the large open plan space and used a neutral palette as the back drop to an arrange of gorgeous textures, patterns and colours. Black and timber finishes belong to the kitchen space which has a contemporary masculine edge.

With all the current mania, we thought we’d share this football themed bedroom scheme which we created last year for a clients son. Complete with graffiti style line-drawing of a player blown up extra large to create a fun wall mural. A sophisticated take on a football themed bedroom scheme ⚽️

We’ve been busy working on lots of exciting projects recently and we’re delighted to have finalised, presented and received client approval for three beautiful bathroom schemes this week for our family countryside residence project 🙌🏻 more exciting updates coming soon!

D R E S S I N G R O O M

We knocked the master bedroom through to an unused 5th bedroom, creating a larger master suite for@our client along with a beautiful dressing room space. We designed bespoke wardrobes to maximise storage along with a circular leather ottoman to provide seating or a handy place to pop clothes. A bespoke dressing table finishes the space with a backlit half moon mirror.

We used a matt lacquer finish to the wardrobes to reflect light and fall in line with the bedroom aesthetic. Vertical linear integrated handles finished in a gorgeous contrasting dark oak add a simple, sophisticated detail.

A compact WC doesn’t have to feel compromised in design or lack personality! We designed this ground floor WC to pack a punch with a spa-like calming style.

We created a bespoke vanity made from a beautiful white and grey natural stone with vertical detailing in the splash back to be the main feature of the room whilst providing generous worktop space.

White brassware fittings deliver a contemporary, clean spa style and contrast beautifully against the texture of the taupe micro cement walls.

We installed a wall to wall fitted mirror above the vanity to provide a great mirror - always handy for a powder room! As well as reflect light and space, making the room feel much larger.

Elegant features complete the room giving a luxury feel, such as the white plaster pendant beautifully highlighting the stone vanity and giving a soft ambient glow. A full height vertical niche finished in oak provides a display opportunity to add personality the room.

We provided a turnkey service for our client, ensuring the room was finished with the most beautiful room scent and accessories.

O R G A N I S A T I O N

A detail shot of the joinery from the study we shared earlier this week… a blend of storage for office equipment such as printer, stationary, paper and files along with purposefully designed display areas to showcase personal items, books, photos and sculptures. After all, who doesn’t want to be surrounded by beautiful, personal items in their working environment that makes them feel inspired!

Todays ‘meet the team’ introduction is to the lovely Lauren, our Project Director.

Lauren joined forces with sister Stacey in 2019, transforming Studio28 into a family-run business. Bringing a wealth of knowledge in management and customer service, Lauren heads up the organisation side of our projects to ensure we’re on target with timescales and meeting key project milestones.

Lauren is the point contact for all projects and alongside Stacey, she works closely with clients for design presentations, progress meetings and procurement. Lauren is our important link between client, design team and trades!

Today we’re sharing the transformation of a clients study. Post-Covid, the home office has become a staple must-have. A desk in the spare bedroom no longer cuts it. Clients need a space that feels nice to be in, lifting mood and production. But it also needs to be practical with lots a handy storage. Swipe ⏩️ to see the before.

The bay window was replaced with full height glazing to maximise light and garden views.
The increased daylight brought into this space is also enjoyed from the entrance hall which needed a little help with natural light. An opaque glass door lets the daylight travel into the hall whilst maintaining privacy.

We used joinery to provide maximum work and storage space whilst maintaining a smart, sophisticated style. A ‘floating’ desk spans the width of the glazed bay with steel supports to provide stability. The desk seamlessly blends into a full height, fitted joinery wall to give ample storage, filing and display space. Integrated sockets provide plenty of power for computers and equipment.

A recessed ceiling track allows the sheer wave curtain to span floor to ceiling. Sheer fabric lets light flow through the study whilst giving an element of softness and privacy to the space. Perfect to close out those grey rainy days.

A beautiful, stylish and practical home study all in a compact space: designed, delivered and installed for our client to a turnkey finish, ready for action!

Lighting plays a critical role when it comes to interiors: not only do they provide decorative features, they provide practical and ambient lighting. The colour and brightness of the light coming from your fitting is as equally important as the fitting itself. The colour of light can change your perception of colours and finishes in a room. The brightness also impacts how a space is perceived and can change the mood dramatically.

Good lighting design is critical to ensure you are maximising your homes full potential and creating an environment that’s comfortable, beautiful, practical and enjoyable to live in!

With 17 years experience as an Interior Architect, you can rest assured your project is in capable hands. Stacey enjoys being a part of each and every project, working with the team to ensure the creative direction is dynamic and the details are carefully considered.

With a keen eye for detail, Stacey’s specialisms are technical design and joinery design. She also makes sure the studios systems and processes are up to date so we can run a tight ship to deliver projects as seamlessly as possible for our clients 👊🏻

We all love a ‘before and after’! The idea of an ordinary space in need of change or modernisation being transformed before our eyes within seconds. If only it were that easy!

We remodelled this entrance hall for our client to create a light & bright entry into the house but with a warm, inviting style.

We used glazed steel doors throughout the ground floor allowing light to reach areas it couldn’t previously. We relocated doorways and repositioned the powder room to give space for practical coat & shoe storage in the main entry zone.

The staircase was given a complete overhaul: a new oak timber structure, stained to a warm grey tone finished with black iron balustrades and a beautiful bespoke runner.

A beautiful space to welcome you home! 🏡

This week we celebrate Studio28’s 10th birthday! 🍾

A lot has changed over the last ten years and we couldn’t be prouder of the small but mighty business we’ve created in that time. In celebration of reaching our first milestone birthday, we’ve been working on our brand identity, including a shiny new website, to make sure it truly reflects who we are today.

Thank you to for our fab brand identity and all the hours of behind the scenes work that goes into building a business identity. It’s so much more than just what you see!

Here’s to many more years of supporting clients through their home transformations and we’re looking forward to the exciting projects we’re working on over the course of the year ahead!

On grey, drizzly days like today, who else would love to enjoy a restful, cosy duvet day here! 🌧️

We delivered a calming master bedroom scheme for our lovely client with an understated luxury style. The timber panel wall creates a beautiful textured backdrop to a bespoke, full width headboard. The bedside tables were designed to add a simple elegance with just the right amount of attention to detail. A sculptural bronze pendant finishes the space perfectly providing subtle, ambient lighting.

Full length curtains with contrasting trim give a hotel chic vibe and add a sense of warmth and comfort. The deep teal bespoke cushions add a pop of colour and personality.

It was a pleasure to design and implement this wonderful master scheme for our client to a turnkey solution.

We supported our clients in their home transformation with our full service design, project coordination and implementation to provide reassurance and professional guidance throughout the duration of their 18 month project. We were appointed from the early post planning permission stages of the project through to final handover, providing a full turnkey service for our lovely clients to complete their newly remodelled home. T E X T U R E

Texture… something often overlooked when selecting finishes in a home but in our eyes it’s one of the most important!

Texture adds a sense of movement and a tactile aspect to a product, piece of furniture or an architectural surface such as a floor, wall or ceiling. This in turn creates a warmer, softer aesthetic which creates a luxurious yet homely feeling.

This shot captures the beautiful textures we combined in a powder room for a recent project: the natural grain of oak wood used to create display niches in combination with the coarse grain and movement captured in the Microcement wall finish.

Hi from Team Studio28! We don’t often put our faces on here, but working with designers you know and trust is an important part of our role. So with this in mind, we’ll be making more of an effort to include ourselves in our day to day posting!

We’re excited to be celebrating 10 years of Studio28 in February! Stacey set up the business in 2014 with the aim of making luxury design accessible to those in the Home Counties without the London price tag. Everyone deserves a home that encourages them to be the best versions of themselves!

We’ll be introducing each of these wonderful women over the coming weeks explaining more about the roles they play in our small but mighty design team!

Hello 2024! We’re back in the studio after the Christmas break and we’ve hit the ground running with some exciting new projects getting started.

We’re very much looking forward to 2024 and lots of positive things that we have to be grateful for. Studio28 celebrates 10 years of business next month which is a huge milestone for us and we’re feeling very proud of ourselves. Keep an eye out over the coming weeks for some exciting developments!

In the meantime… we’re looking forward to sharing some recently completed projects with you very soon as well as our usual ‘behind the scenes’ and ‘in the studio’ snaps!

As we close our studio door for 2023, we’re feeling extremely grateful. It’s been a year of working with the most wonderful clients and the most supportive, hardworking trades and suppliers.

We never take for granted the trust our clients put into us to help them create something special and we never under estimate the responsibility we take on.

We’re excited for what 2024 has in store but for now we’re off to spend cherished time with family and friends. We wish all of you the most wonderful Christmas and a happy healthy 2024!
