60 heart and lavender cushions were made and we’re still collecting but have raised at least £350. Thank you to all who have helped and donated - special mention to our friends for helping with the filling and their generous donation. A huge thank you to our MAYFACS Yarners and the knitters and crocheters for all their incredible work in producing a fantastic amount of donations for the Queen Mother’s Clothing Guild. All these items, including twiddle muffs, scarves, socks, hats, cardigans, blankets, toys and gloves, are being taken up to St James Palace for sorting and distribution to charities across the country to support individuals, refuges, hospitals and shelters. A truly special charitable project to be able to play our part in.

It’s time for our annual Sew A Heart Cushion Day for . As well as coffee or tea and cake there will be a raffle as well. Any donations of cotton fabric will be greatly received as we want to make more cushions than we did last year. If you can cut, sew,stuff, bake, make tea or even drink we need your help. Wondered what was making the holes in your favourite woolies? This is the moth larva and they have a voracious appetite.
If you find holes in your woolies put it in a bag and into the freezer for a minimum 24hrs. Washing is not enough. If you take your woolies to be repaired PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do this FIRST.
If not the damage will continue and render any repair pointless and could also damage stock or other peoples garments.
