Concepts Art by Design

We haven’t been out and about for a while so it’ll be nice to be behind the stand today at Whitchurch, if you’re local to the area it’ll be nice to see you down there. Next week we’re back at Alresford at the Watercress line station.

Last year we did the watercress festival for the first time, we loved it souch we're doing it again. We've got our same pitch too, right outside Alresford station. We had a fabulous time so if you're local to the area might be one to consider this Sunday. See you there? -me-not

Our lovely WI ladies are hosting a fabulous garage sale on Saturday 11th May. So I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to open up the Studio for visitors, which we haven't done in a while.
We'll have a host of our glassware on sale along with some stunning soft furnishings made by the very talented Nancy Woolley of Creations. Its also a perfect opportunity for us to replensih our stocks ready for the shows we have planned, so you'll even see us at work.

The Garage Sale - 30+ houses are opening their garages to sell their wares.
Please go to Pheonix Cottage on the high street and get a map for 50p to show you all the houses registered. There will also be bacon baps and the WI cake stall too! Parking is at the community centre where the outside toilets will be open.

A working day today. Ordinarily we’d have been up early setting up for the Cuckoo Fair in Downton. Sadly this event was cancelled this year, we’ll miss it, however you can find us at the Andover Chantry Centre today, which is always a lovely event to do as it’s nice and relaxing. So if you’re out and about today come say high.

Just 4 days to go and this incredible human being, my baby boy, will be running the London Marathon in aid of Tommy's charity. I am so incredibly proud of this young man. Hes been working so hard in his training, which is now all in the bag ready for Sunday. Elliot Harvey-Copestake I love you to the moon and back, I know you are going to smash this,

We need your help. Concepts launched their website a few years ago and as we know its good to keep things fresh on social media. Whist having a bit of a spring clean and adding some of our new craft events for 2024 we noticed that the feedback we have on the website, although is lovely, it needs updating.

This is our very latest design ‘forgetmenot’ so no bargain sales here.

We can’t paint Cottage Garden fast enough, it’s a really fresh ‘spring’ like design. We currently have only 1 of our large posy vases at £28.00. Alternatively our cyclinder vases are £22.00 and waisted £26.00. Another BARGAIN is the fabulous jug top right. Normal price would have been £28.00 however this has an unusual feint line embedded into the glass, you’d be hard pushed to see it, but for us it’s not perfect so it’s in the SALE at £20.00! Sadly we can no longer source these lovely jugs, so when it’s gone it’s gone

As Mother’s Day is in one weeks time, we’ve got a few vases left from yesterdays craft event, which would make lovely gifts. We’ve one or two little bargains for you too!

We have a few of our poplar posy vases shown here in Cottage Garden with a lovely minted green base @£18.00 each, which are a perfect gift. We also have 1 that’s been in the wars a bit and has a tiny chip on the rim. Therefore we’re selling this off at less than half price for just £8.00! But we only have one and when it’s gone it’s gone!

Our first outing for 2024. Find us this Saturday, March 2nd, at the Andover Chantry Centre. This is a lovely opportunity to see some fabulous local arts and crafts, including yours truly. We'll be there nice and early, but trading starts at 9.30 until 4.00. So with Mothers day next week it will be a great time to treat your mum or maybe yourself?

Absolutely nothing related to our hand painted glassware and I make no apology, but instead a post today to tell you all about my awesome Son Elliot, who in a few weeks time will take on the London Marathon! Shown here after the Great South run.

Until last year he'd never run before but sadly Elliot and his wife Evie have suffered badly due to multiple miscarriages over the last couple of years. Needless to say it’s been a pretty traumatic and devastating time for them.

In an effort to focus his mind on something else and to channel his energies he shocked us all when last year he applied for the London Marathon. He was even more shocked when he got in! His marathon training began that day. He’s running to raise money for Tommy’s, a wonderful charity, which funds research to identify why pregnancy goes wrong. Tommy's have been so supportive of Elliot and Evie throughout their sad journey. So it’s only right that Elliot supports them in return.

You too may have been affected by miscarriage or know of someone who have had a similar journey, so if you'd like to support Elliot and this amazing charity then I know he be chuffed to bits.

It's mid Feb, first day back in the studio, the sun is shining and I have no heat on, how bizarre is that. Still it's good to be back in the seat building up much needed stocks, we have our first event on March 1st😱
