Previous fans will know that the original band was formed in the mid 00s, forming into another band called the Mod R***e, which came to an end a couple of years ago. The band play some live music covers of Ska/Mod songs which previous fans will remember and enjoy,

Unfortunately our gig tonight has had to be cancelled at short notice due to our lead singer falling ill with the nasty winter bug going around and as a band we did not feel we could give our best performance (especially with a singer who's unable to sing!) 🤒
The van was packed and we are gutted to cancel at short notice as we like to think of ourselves as professionals and we also love playing this venue as the crowd are always excellent! 😔
However, the health of our band members has to take priority and although we understand some people may be disappointed tonight, we really hope you can understand this 💙
We have let the venue know as soon as reasonably possible and have given them the contact details of an agent who may be able to find them alternative entertainment for tonight 🤞
We would also like to take this opportunity to wish all fans of The Civilians a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours! 🎅
