Why is it so important to identify your ‘bridal niche’?

Understanding your identity as a bridal makeup artist is key when starting your business. This makes it easy to market yourself to your ideal client, and for your ideal clients to find you.

Why do I offer both accredited MUA training and accredited bridal MUA training?

When choosing your training course, it is first important to know what kind of makeup artist you want to be.

Whilst you still need a good understanding of the basics, bridal makeup artistry also requires certain specific skills and a slightly different business approach. I offer a separate, bridal accredited training course for those of you who know you want to solely focus on the wedding industry for your business.

During the bridal training, we will create a minimum of two specific bridal looks together - from glowing natural to soft glam, which are by far the most requested bridal looks. I often get asked what is my number one tip that I would give to an aspiring MUA just starting out and it is this: know your signature style and stick to it.

It may initially feel like you need to be a jack of all trades when you start your MUA business - needing to be an expert at every single makeup style, but that is simply not the case.

In fact, it is better to have a signature style that you can be recognised for and associated with. That will ensure that your prospective clients know exactly what to expect from you, and will naturally develop a market for you and your services.
